Incredible and creative game! I absolutely love the art and sound design for this game! The sound queen bee makes are so adorable.

The movement is very well made and is tons of fun once you get a hang of it. The upgrades were such a cool addition, and the levels were well made. I wasn't exactly sure what worker bees did, but figured it out once my honey amount skyrocketed, it just could have used a quick explanation. Not sure why spider webs make you bounce, but I honestly don't hate it. I do think you should be able to recover some stamina while falling, albeit slower than if you're on the ground, just to make recoveries more possible. In certain areas one wrong move meant death because you kept ping-ponging into more enemies/webs. Also I may have found a bug where dying and resetting to day 1 doesn't reset the stamina upgrade cost.

This game was so well made and is absolutely one of my favorite entries for this jam. Not sure if you're planning to keep working on it, but if you do, I'd love to play more of it!

I do plan to work on it more! I’m not sure how far I will go with it, but you can expect a map re-make, a rebalanced shop (to make the game a little easier), air strafe with A/D, a clearer honey goal for victory, and other quality of life changes.

Expanding past this is not planned, but still possible. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed my game so much. And your encouragement has given me more motivation to continue my game dev journey. Thanks so much! ♥

This is such a creative entry in the jam. the movement tech is niceee . the webs tooks me by surprise tbh they can look a bit dangerous !! rest totally an A+ submission to the jam! can u play my game and give me some honest feedback ? /jam/brainless-game-jam/rate/4775182

I've never seen a game jam submission with such movement tech before, it's kinda epic. I do wish I saw some visual representation of how much stamina I'm channeling into my bursts (like maybe a green bar filling up inside of the white bar of remaining stamina)

This is really creative, from the concept to the gameplay!

It took a bit to get used to the controls, but I like the level design with a single flower and no enemies so there's a safe place to learn. A really small piece of feedback, but I was surprised the webs are dangerous. They could maybe look a little scarier/deadlier. But overall nice job!

Thanks for the feedback!

I will admit I rushed the webs towards the end to give the game more depth. They certainly could look more dangerous. But I also did not want to add a spider so that arachnophobes could enjoy the game as well.

I like this one a lot!

Getting the hang of controlling the bee took a long time, but I imagine that's how it's supposed to be.

The cycle of collecting pollen, then returning home to buy upgrades is very satisfying.

Two small issues I had:

it took me a while to figure out what the purpose is of buying more workers.

And the wasps/hornets are so big and scary-looking, I just assumed they'd kill me with one touch.

Overall, great job. I might return to see if I can finally save the collony.

really well made first game i wasnt able to save the colony but the movement tech felt pretty neat, chaining jumps cross flowers felt like i was speedrunning, the game gets so much harder when reaching the cobweb area lol i do wish the jumps were more lenient as in micro adjusts to the left and right were possible cuz i found myself on the edge of a platform alot and not able to get ontop of it, i liked the details such as hitbox of the flowers were disabled when jumping from beneath but u can land on it.

would love some feedback on our game too!
