This is one of those visual novels that made me fall to my knees in despair when I hit the "Thank you for playing!" mark around 10-15 hours in. UoP is up there with Tropicali, Young Again, and Another Chance for my absolute favourite VNs of all time. The work is unparalleled and the characters are to die for. Plus, actual consequences for your actions??? Oh, you know I'm sold.
The actually bonking bits... Is a little underwhelming, but I think that's because I am so pressed to get back to the emotions and the story that I'm skipping through it half the time. HOWEVER, give DreamNow credit for being one of the only creators to ever actually include the fact that it's a sweaty activity and MODELED that too.
Regardless, I absolutely loved this game. There are some AAA RPGs that can't create a story or characters as good as this. Oh, and shoutout to the writing for my girl Roxy for actually making me cry. The level of character development her path sees is insane and constantly had me checking my phone to see if I could hang out with her again. Did I forget to mention that UoP has a phone mechanic??? With realistic social media and texting???
