Very fun game, well done! The gameplay loop is very satisfying and the twist on Snake is fun. I like the progression in the levels, and managed to get to level 3. Overall solid entry.

no comment except: I didn't know I needed "snake survivors" in my life. thanks for the upload!

There is something really satisfying about the way the snake moves... just really really smooth. Nicely done.

How did you guys reach 10.000.000 points lol. Fun game!

I enjoyed that! It could've been cool if the sun you became at the end exploded into a supernova or became a black hole, then credits roll or something. Still, snake is fun, and combining it with the size-scaling genre makes it even more fun! Good job!

Really liked this one! Being Snake by itself already guarantees the game will be fun, and the passives and the combo system made the game far more engaging. The environment changing as the Wyrm grew also gave me something to look for. Very creative way to integrate the M is for Mega wildcard!

What an awesome game! Aside from being just snake, the game reminds me of those old "Eat and Grow" games like tasty planet or Feeding Frenzy [made me realize the absolute lack of those kind of games now]! The combo timer is really fun as well, the art and sfx reminds me of old flash games which really fit together. The highest I got was the space stage but when I bit myself I got respawned inside some wall and got wall-locked and died lmao.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The space stage is actually the final stage. I originally was going to make it so you play until you die, but I ended up making a timer on it. Either way though, you made it to the end, even with the bug!

it is nice to play a snake with some rogue-like mechanics! nice entry! I really  liked it!

Great twist on a classic! I loved the snake appearing on the main menu, little details like that are always super cool I think. Great work :D

Love what you did with this classic.

Played quite a few rounds and enjoyed it a lot =)

Congratulations on your submission. Great game jam entry!

Lots of neat improvements to the original game!

Snake roguelike is a fun idea! I also liked how it developed and a lot of the little details like the way you climb out of the hole on the next level

This is so cool! it is a better version of the snake game! love the progression

Snake but cooler, nice job!

Only note I have is it wasn't clear the little tentacle thingies out of the bushes were obstacles after it was clear the mice were food. But maybe I'm just dumb lol.

Also so cool you have a high score leaderboard.

I really loved the progression mechanics in this game. They add a refreshing twist to a classic gameplay style and keep things interesting from start to finish. Great work!

By the way, did you set up a backend to store the high scores? I know it’s possible, but I’m surprised to see it in a game jam entry. Are those scores from actual players?

Developer(+2)

Thank you! I just used SilentWolf for this. In the past I had my own system, but I shut down my old server a while ago. And yes, the scores are from actual players (though a couple are me).
