Like others have said. The graphics and overall visual feel of the game is fantastic.
Like I said to others thank you soooo much for playing >:3
shame the game is unfinished, because it looked really interesting! the graphics were really cool with the lighting and the foreground parallax at the start!
the signal system's interaction with the crystals (again, with really cool lighting) and the switches has the potential to create some good puzzle platforming, so we hope you work some more on it in the future!!
THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH !!!🫠🫠🫠 I really appreciate that
I spent a lot of time working on the details since I run out of time I wasn't able to finish the map or add puzzles so I tried to make it as good looking as possible which from your comment I've done a good job >:3
Thank you so much for playing and I'm planning on working more on it in the future ^v^
This is very cool looking. Excellent job on the visuals and animations! I'm not sure if you're supposed to be able to get out of the very first area, but I couldn't figure it out if so!
Thank you so much for the good words 🫠🫠🫠
I was gonna add like a tutorial section but I run out of time 😅
Thanks for playing too ;3
There’s a good mood here. The lighting glare is especially nice. I think it might be a bit too dark around the player? I’ve made a game previously with moody lighting before and while I like it I wonder if sometimes you need to pop a light in the player so that their immediate area is a more clear. Or if not having a light maybe some more highlights just so you have some white/near white elements to balance the gloom.
Ok I double checked and there is a subtle light. I think youre onto something - but I also think its tricky to have something dark while still providing usable visible detail.
The foreground elements provide a cool parallax. I was wondering if the foreground beams would work better if they had some holes so they didnt totally block the view of the player - but also you do only put them where the player is walking - so maybe thats fine as is.
Anyhow in case it isnt clear I really liked it! You just wanted more feedback on the art so I just wanted to share some thoughts.
Thank you so much for the feedback I really appreciate it ^v^
and for the foreground elements I only added them at the very last moments of the jam since I run out of time I thought that the camera focus will blur them but the post processing that I used it only blurs the far objects
Which I didn't expect I was gonna remove'em all but didn't have much time to decide so I just left it as it is
Thanks again for the feedback and I will for sure improve in the future ^v^🫶
Def worth leaving in. They still work as giant concrete blocks and the jaunty angle still adds some style
I like the environment and the proot!!
Thank you 😁😁😁
Great work! Even unfinished, it's really impressive!
Thank youuuuuuuuu 🫠🫠🫠
I was super impressed with the art feel and vibe but got totally blown away when I encountered the parallax. Legit had a double take and ran back and forth a couple of times while thinking "cannot believe this game has parallaxing foreground objects!!! AND THEY REACT TO LIGHTHTTHT?!?!? WHAWRRRR!?".
The proot is also reeeaaally cute. :3c
Hope to see more with this lil' guy maybe one day! :DDDD
thank you so much for the good words I really appreciate that
I might work on it more in the future ^v^👍
It is soooooooooo sad because it's one of the best artistic direction and environment art I saw in a jam. If you plan on developing it further I can only be impatient to see what you'll cook and wish you good luck! Really it's still impressive to deliver this in 10 days.
thanks ^v^ I really appreciate that !!!!
I was gonna finish it but I joined the jam at the 3rd day
I'm planning on developing it more in the future maybe after the GMTK GAME JAM but currently I'll just catch my breath to get ready for it :D
thanks for playing and I hope you a nice day ^v^
Thank you!! Good luck in GMTK (I wanted to do it too but omg I'm exhausted xd)
😭😭😭
Oh my gosh you nailed the atmosphere SO WELL. I think this is one of the few games that has so much detail in the environment visuals and audio, that music is not necessary.
…That being said, I didn’t get very far and I’m not sure how to proceed past the elevator room. Even so I’m impressed with the various platforming mechanics!
Don’t lose heart! There is something brilliant here that just needs a little more time to develop, and you’ve already proven to be a great environment artist. I WANT to see more of Bad Signal!!!
I don't know what to say thank you so so so so so oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much I really spent a lot of time on developing it and you really made my day at leat I know that my efforts did not go to waste
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
^v^
I will for sure continu developing it in the future (maybe after the GMTK GAMEJAM) :3
