A cool idea that fits the theme very well! I like the game screen, it fits the vibe and the ear twitch on our character is a nice touch. I just wish that we had to search for the signals more. After finding out the signals are all galaxy images, you can just zoom out and find them with no issue. I also wish there were more voicelines. The repetition of one voice line gets a tad annoying. Seperating the zoom with 2 different buttons would have been nice too.
I had to look at the comments to figure out that you’re supposed to HOLD Z to zoom in an out and read messages. I think this could be better conveyed in the game.
Sweet and simple little game! I really like the kinda unnerving-ness of it … reminds me slightly of Outer Wilds. It’s not super intricate, and I think that works to its benefit! I particularly like that each node has a unique message, so you can see when you start to get close to a new one even if you can’t see the node itself. The design of the search grid is also kinda pleasing. I think my only pain point was that the audio got pretty repetitive pretty quickly. Very very strong otherwise, though!
Neat little game! Controls were a teensy bit wonky, thankfully discovered I had to hold down Z fairly early to read through stuff. The solo audio loop over the messages was kind of annoying part way through, but wasn't so loud as to make me want to stop. A little ambient music could go a long way with this one! Just something soft in the background while we scan. Overall had a good time. Not sure that last message telling me not to believe the propaganda can be trusted through...
Took me a bit to get to grips with this one. I started writing down cordinates for places I found - but then I realised that you can zoom WAAAY further in by holding Z - from there I was all good collecting lil messages across the universe. Sound could def use more diversity and mood - but I'm excite to see what you do with FMOD in future. I think it's a great lil tool. Oh there was also a mismatch between what we were seeing and reading? We'd see a huge galaxy, but they'd say there's no more stars? Otherwise the idea and vibes of this one are pretty cool.
Thank you Birdinahat! I had some fun with this first time using FMOD, gonna be doing that more in depth and more often now:)
Thanks for playing and for your feedback:3
Love anything that reminds me of Outer Wilds, and this does it in such a good way! Please do more games in the future! or even expand this one out if you want! I kindof wish ya had done a longer track or just less loud of one for the main looping audio for the signals, but otherwise, Great idea, Great execution, and definitely on theme! This game stood out to me, and I worry if I get too far into criticisms, my love for the game won't shine through anymore. Needs some background music, something somber I would expect. the gameplay is innovative but would have been neat if you had to get more exact once you zoomed in? It's no small feat to get compared to something like Outer Wilds though, so great job! and thank you for this little gem!
Aww thank you for kind words and feedback! I really appreciate it! I agree with it btw, I might update it to fix those details, especially the gameplay part so it's a bit more interactive.
Outstanding interpretation of the theme!
Reallllyyyy interesting. Is there any continuation or anything soon to be continued on it?
I am happy you liked it! Didn't think of any continuation, but who knows ;3
