What I am about to say I mean in the best way possible because I think it means you captured exactly what you were hoping for:
I felt uncomfortable going through this. This piece captures a sort of horror that I know I relate to and I am sure many others who come across it will too. Seeing family members slowly start to fade away into shells of their former self, it makes the oncoming fact of life for yourself horrifying. I hear from my father about how he doesn't want to be like his parents, yet he recognizes the traits he's picked up from them, as they have slowly ebbed into caricatures of themselves. I look to my father and I know I don't want to be like him, yet I recognize some traits I have picked up from him, and that terrifies me. As he has gotten older, just had a birthday and is in his early 60s, I see now where some things are starting to creep in on him with his memory, and I don't want for him to go through the same shift his parents did. I want the cycle to end, for both his sake and also my own. I don't know if I can stop it fully, but at the very least, I can only endeavor and hold onto hope for a brighter outcome.
This game captures all these feelings perfectly, succinctly, all in 1000 words.
I am sorry for what to had to let this piece be made, but know that your message is conveyed exactly as it needs to be, and that is earnestly.
