I wasn't expecting getting scared here and it worked so good x0

Atmosphere's amazing, audio and art is amazing, narrative is so cool even if I expected the mystery and ending sequence to last a bit more, what I mean by that is everything gets revealed and concluded a bit too quickly (doesn't change that it's an impressive game for a jam). Gameplay is not much but helps telling the story in a manner that I LOOOVE, seriously it's such a cool idea to do a mysterious/horror game around signal receiving and tower observer. Really liked this one, and impressive amount of work for a jam!

waooww the atmosphere is really good!

im glad the fella quit the job XD

ngl the pc moving mouse section gave me anxiety hwhwhwhwh, it feels like something could jump on me

This was a fun little game to try out. Gameplay isn't really too deep, but it's there to help you tell the story! Love Neptune's reaction to the monster in ending#1, only to find out we're actually the mean person with ending #2... would fill a new friend's eyes with pepper spray again

Heck yeah! Crazy Eights!

Loved the writing, tone of the characters, character design, monster design, and it was actually kinda scary, I'm not kidding! Good job, one of my favourites. I'm also surprised to see RPG Maker around.

Nice game. it's crazy that you guys made this in RPG make. Good job! The visuals and art are fantastic. Good narritive. All around good job!  What was the criteria for ending 2? I could get 1 and 3 just fine.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! To get Ending 2, you must not touch any “clues” while outside and just return to the tower.

Got it thanks! Best.. ending?  I think so.

The idea is good, and the art in this is great too - I felt bad for the anxious proto. I did find myself wishing I could use the mouse cursor though since the signal decoding parts feel better suited to that.

In my first play through after he went down the tower for a break I climbed straight back up again and "played Crazy Eights" :P Played through again to get ending 1, not sure if there were others I missed.

Thanks! I had to disable mouse movement cz it works AWFUL in RPG Maker (T_T) . There are only 3  endings in the game so far!

we really liked the artstyle, neptune's visor showing a phone receiver icon while calling Security was an especially cute touch :D

the gameplay was simple and it felt like it was held a bit back by the engine's limitations - moving the cursor on the PC screen was slow, and operating the signal receiver slightly finnicky when it came to registering key presses.

also at the very beginning we were confused on what exactly we have to do - it wasn't immediately clear we need to repeat the signal and then interpret it.

we managed to get both endings (unless there is more which we missed), and overall it was a short, simple but sweet experience!

Controls for those who need it!

Movement cursor/player = WASD or arrow keys
Interact = Spacebar or Enter
Note when on work computer, listen for key sound cos it doesn't always register a key press

This one is a bit simple and the cursor is way too slow - but it's also super short so it doesn't outstay its welcome. I like the basic gameplay and idea well enough and I  was very happy with my ending. (Ending 2!) I do wish the start software icon wasn't so far away though.

I think you've got a cool idea here, but I echo the sentiment that it feels like the engine is fighting you. I love the character designs, and the idea of a mundane job gradually ending up weird is cool.

I was a little confused about what the job actually was. Why are birds giving off Morse Code signals? Are we getting the signals from someone else? I didn't really get it, but the vibe was cool.

I liked playing Crazy Eights at the end!

Thanks! The engine's fighting with me and i'm fighting it.

This is an awesome game. I love the everything – dialogue, art, and gameplay. Wish I could control using the mouse though, that’s my only real complaint. Amazing work!

Developer

Thanks <3

I have a soft spot for RPG maker games, so this was just a delight >w< The setup was really well done too! I love the idea of getting you used to doing a mundane job task, only to throw a curve ball at you with a signal that you weren't taught to deal with. It really sets the "something is wrong here" vibe well.

Not sure if the grid based movement is something you can toggle in RPGMaker MZ, but if not, I'm willing to look past it, the game was fun, and the art was cute as hell despite it!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I've seen a lot of feedback about movement in the game. If I ever come back to this game, I'll make sure it's more comfortable to play.

We talked a bout this game in our livestream quit a bit, but the main thing that came up, was it feels limited by the engine (DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU THOUGH, USE WHATEVER YOU LIKE, AND CONTINUE TO DO COOL THINGS WITH IT) noting the slow cursor or using the proot's head as a selector in the scene that follow the computer screen XD. Great concept for a game, if this was fleshed out into a full game I think it would do really well, a mix of horror and routine makes for a reliably good (and for good reason) horror game that's fun to watch or play! Lots of talent here, from the art across the board, and the concept Loved getting to experience this! If you want a timestamp and link to the livestream find me on discord, baxtontiger!

Thanks for playing! Dont worry. I'LL NEVER STOP MAKING GAMES IN RPG MAKER.

Controls just a little clunky, but with some polish to pacing and building tension it would be a very very good game!
