Hi all, I'm looking to get back into game dev and drawing in general. It's been a while since I've touched my tablet, so I'm looking for some practice and to get into a project that I vibe with. I have some old examples of my art below. I only make 2D sprites and CGs. I'd prefer a smaller project off the bat (e.g. 2-3 characters, 1-2 CGs) as I work pretty long hours full-time. Feel free to message me regarding project details. Thanks!

Hey, iridscnt!

We're actually on the hunt for a new 2D artist (our current one, unfortunately, had a major health scare)! My game is an IF (interactive fiction), so it sounds like it would be perfect for what you're looking for/starting off light. Our former artist was working on individual art of the 4 ROs, so that would be your priority (i.e. these will be their intro images with their descriptions); there would be no CGs, in the traditional sense -- but if you wanted to make group shots/more artistic scenes, I'd be all for it. If you'd like to stay on + feel the vibe, that would be fab! Or, if you just want to do some one-offs for your portfolio -- that works too!
The game will be revshare, so there's potential monies your way if you'd like to link a kofi/something similar(you will absolutely be getting an artist credit). Will send a friend request if you're interested!

hey iridscnt!
I am a passionate game dev and currently we are looking for a 2d artist for our upcoming game trilogy. I saw your work it was great and I have vision of turning it into something big. If you work with us you wont regret that decision and also you would get a change to showcase your skills worldwide. I see my game becoming one of the global hits and to turn this vision into reality i want you onboard. I wish to see your reply as soon as possible.

Hi! Your post caught my attention, especially because you prefer starting with

a smaller project rather than committing to something huge immediately.

I’m developing One More Window, a compact 2D narrative-strategy game set inside

an apartment building during a severe winter blackout.

The player moves three emergency power relays between warmth, safe routes,

tools and communication, creating opportunities for residents to help one

another.

The intended visual style is non-pixel 2D art with readable silhouettes, subtle

cut-paper/hand-painted texture, warm amber powered rooms and cold blue-grey

blackout states.

I would not ask you to create an entire unpaid game. I’d prefer to begin with

one small test package:

- one apartment room

- one resident

- 2–3 simple poses

- powered and blackout lighting versions

There is currently no upfront budget, but the work would be clearly credited,

usable in your portfolio, and any game-use terms would be agreed beforehand.

Here is the current mood teaser:

Would you be open to discussing the visual brief through itch.io messages or

Discord?
