Solid game for only 48 hours. I didn't know what really happened with the story, but the walking made it so painful to decide if I should backtrack or not. I wish there was a feature to make all the dialogue appear at once too. Really almost couldn't make it past the spider, I thought I had to sneak up behind him before going down. But the atmosphere of the game was well done.
yeah I wish I had more time to actually put some stuff in the paths I was taking too much from FAITH which also is bogged down by a lot walking in its first chapter.
Too much walking but an effective game overall
I think the theme of Ancient is a pretty good way to describe an Atari demake. I have never played the original Dreamcatcher 2003 this is demaking so I can not rank this on how faithful this is to adapting the game to the lower detail style. I will remark that I found the walkways to feel more tedious than any kind of establishment for an unsettling atmosphere, and I found myself getting stuck at trying to get the drink under the spider as a the game tells me to.
this one was really interesting! While I don't really feel like atari-style games are necessarily 'ancient', and while the gameplay was a bit dull with how long the pathways were, the aesthetic was on point. Still a cool thing to have made in 48 hours!
Gonna be honest I don't know why the pathing is that long either
