Testing one mechanic: record your play, paste it as a ghost (10 min, browser)

Looking for 2-3 people to try a 10-minute gameplay prototype (browser, no install, no signup). It's deliberately ugly. I'm testing whether one mechanic feels good before building the game around it: you record about 30 seconds of your own play, then paste it as a ghost that repeats it forever.

Play here: https://tickspire.itch.io/echoloop

If you have a project up, I'll play it and leave proper feedback in return.

Nice game!  At first, I tried to use all 30 seconds of my recording, then I learned a smarter way. Unlike aradrsk, I disagree with "the 5c-per-bar early economy is a slow grind before automation pays off,".  I was trying to use ghosts just to stock up the smelter, but it was not working? With both ghosts on different stocks, one would just stop working. I would also like capacity upgrades. The 390c for a 4th ghost also felt like way too much, but will be clarified later. I will also say, once you finish the final version, the page should get an update. The page is perfectly fine for an in-browser prototype, but will need some updates later on. Overall, great prototype. I will definitely play a full version.

I would also like feedback for my game, Dualspace.  I want to know if based on the web version, if I can reach my $12 goal: https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace

Thanks a lot, this is the useful kind.

The smelter thing isn't a bug, it's on me: only selling at the depot pays. A loop that just stocks the smelter looks busy and earns nothing, offline too. You're the second person to hit that, so it's getting fixed properly.

Frozen ghost was holding two things with nowhere to put them. Hand and smelter caps are both too tight. Capacity upgrades noted.

Two questions, be blunt: did you show it to anyone after playing? Opened it again since?

(1 edit)

I have not showed it too anyone, but I just opened it again. I realized I ended up earning nothing offline.
