All Liminary-Dev is saying:
1: Use   to add a background, and unique colors for the game

2: Take the feedback provided to improve your games. It can and will be harsh at times.

3: "You keep adding new [games], but really need to focus on fixing the initial experience  ... A better user experience is needed before more [games]." - Dragon's Isle Software

4: You might see AI as OK, but for others, they won't click on the thumbnail for it

5: Improve your description, cover image, and overall page

Liminary-Dev is not trying to be rude, just telling you that you need to accept the feedback in this thread.

Note: The game will shift to paid (~$4.99) with some updates before the end of the jam.

The last one percent is to improve your page with screenshots, backgrounds, theme, and an improved description.

Firstly, I would suggest putting your game here. I am curious on what website you used for publishing. Certain website don't even give your game a chance.

Ex: Pay for visibility, 100 plays before indexing, only indexed for  5 days ...

Indexed means that you can find the game without the link.

Thanks for the feedback. You game looks interesting. I will play it later because I am on mobile.

Firstly, the link takes you to itch.io homepage.

Secondly, please add a web version.

You have a .apk with no gameplay description, no screenshots and one AI image. Until people see more of the game, they won't download, as they won't trust the file.

I played car, and looked at the pages of the others.

Firstly, all the pages are not in English, and must be tagged as such in the Metadata.

Secondly, the formatting of Hypergrid in unreadable (Not because it is in another language)

The one line description should not be the game name repeated.

The speed of the road in car changes wildly. One second it will be super slow, and another it will go very fast. Lost to this with a score of 156. It also makes the road look weird.

Here is my puzzle game: https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace

If you make a demo that provides one .exe before paywalling, I would get it!

Game jams

The hard part is:

The left side is with no updates and focused on many other projects. The right side came from community posts, jams and reddit posts.

Also views to plays;

Great: 37%

My last 30 days: 31.6%

My best game: 20.4%

Before focusing on quality and focusing on quantity: 11.4%

You can join a bundle, even with a free browser game.

106 Views only 7 Browser Plays. You got to check for bots.  If there is a sudden large spike from Google, it's giving fake views, and no plays.

Quality over Quantity is best to get more visibility.

Also use Quality over Quantity for players.  If the 7 players are rating, commenting, and donating, that's still good.

I really like the game page! I would be willing to play if there was a web version.

I had a lot of fun playing this game! I just made my review:

Here is my puzzle game: /jam/feedback-quest-9-indiegames-x-indie-streamers/rate/4297449

I enjoyed the game! I played and got the 6 gang members. I lost twice. My only issue is that I did not realize that you got extra damage or half damage based on character symbol (Rock, Paper, Scissors) until level 4. I just thought the game was rigged. I would also suggest a tutorial for onboarding.

I agree with Cosmic Raycast about the attack audio.

I liked the amazing concept, and the unique gameplay.

Dualspace v1.61: The Level Update is here!

The Level Update introduces a brand-new level system to Dualspace! Every wing (I, II, III for now) has 10 unique levels, and 1-3 challenges. In each level contains 3 stars to collect. It has added unique puzzles, a shield system and much more!

The goal of v1.6 is to make Dualspace's progression clearer, more structured, and more rewarding. Instead of simply exploring a large collection of puzzles, you can now see exactly what you've completed, what you've missed, and what you need to do to unlock the next wing.

I am looking for feedback on UX.

Play the game here: https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace

I can only play in browser games.

There is a tutorial. Due to you playing last month, the game placed you where you were at. This jumped you past the tutorial.

I played all of them on mobile:

Overnight Stack: High Score: 13. The difficulty curve here is far too harsh, and I will like better visuals.

Overnight Orbit: I could not get the game to work. It loaded, but couldn't get past the first planet. Maybe a mobile issue.

Overnight Drift: High Score: 537. Best game of the 4

Overnight Dash: High Score: 1537. Perfect difficulty curve

One issue. They all need loading screens. For all of them I had to refresh and wait several times. Overnight Drift even should the grey could not find screen.

I see that you are new here.

Because you are new, and all games are missing cover images, none of them are in Most Recent.

Also, I would suggest to focus on one and bring it to a much better level.  I know that AI says that making tons of simple games will allow you to start selling and becoming popular, this is not the case. This only happens after you focus on 1 game, and it's even harder when using AI.

Please use free assets over AI tools. There are tons of free assets that look amazing for games. I would suggest not to use AI tools for art, as they are incoherent and mark your game as AI. This lowers perceived quality of the game.

I would say to use more description, images, screenshots and theme. You got to include a demo, and show a lot to get people to pay $3 for AI

I agree with use their payout balance directly on itch.io. How are creators supposed to withdraw a amount <~$20

How do I withdraw this?

Hello PT22. I will also like feedback.

I am looking for testing on UX and Gameplay for my puzzle game, Dualspace.

https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace

I suggest that you lean away from spamming this link. The link does not work, and was spammed 11 times. Posting posts with just a link will not make people click it, it's just low effort.

(1 edit)

I will suggest to lean away from spamming posts on here, and working on your game instead. I would also suggest playing the games for longer, as you said "; I’ll take a screenshot of my score as proof!". Instead, you copy-pasted a generic "your game is Good" comment.

By the way, that was the same version that received a 1/5 for onboarding

By the way,  featuring on a release announcement is not going to help anyone's game. Smart idea on a prize, but not executed properly. I will let DarkBloodbane win.

Nice game. However, the puzzles are too easy, and remain easy. I finished the whole 23 levels in ~1 minute.

I played on a computer, but the dpad shows as 2562 and numbers/letters, instead of arrows. The puzzles just need more complexity. The gumroad link is also quarantined

I would suggest adding a web version. This would allow more people to quickly join the server.

On 1.C1, you were supposed to go all the way down to reach the next level. The current version ends at 3.G (34 levels).

The game is OK. I stopped at 124, when enemies stopped spawning. The main mechanic, ricochet bullets, was very unpredictable, and never killed an enemy. I also was only able to shoot right. I also did not use dash, not even once.

I would suggest fixing these errors, because I left from boredom (no enemies) instead of trying again to beat my highscore.

Please also properly document your AI usage, and use your tags.

A different run:

I will leave a comment on your page.

My game is Dualspace, a puzzle game. I am looking for feedback on User Experience (UX)

https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace

Firstly,  itch.io allows you to put the free sample inside of the same page. People are missing the free sample because it is not included in that page.  I also see that the page has no link to the free sample. The tags are correct. The thumbnail survives.  However, some screenshots don't survive the size. The new in v1.1, and categories should have bigger font sizes.  The first part of the description should have your hook. Currently,  the first thing people read is "1.2: all 381 icons are now 381 genuinely different pictures. A hash check on my own pack found 11 names shipping an image that already existed elsewhere in it",  which does not make people buy. Overall, it is mostly the page and not the product.

I am looking for the same question.

This month I had 49 views, and 11 downloads, but no sales.

https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace-asset-pack

I beat the first level!

The core game mechanics and gameplay loop is fun!

I played this game around a month ago. I instantly saw the new relics, arguments, and characters. I also saw the the gold economy has changed significantly. I ended with 805 coins. In my opinion, the old economy was better. I like that the relics now have images.  I also like the combo meter, but I could not get past C.  I like the options for character (I chose blacksmith). I also like the new super hard enemies for the end of levels. They should be marked as bosses. I liked the ambulance dice.

I broke the dice. The black hole, golden dice, and ambulance was in the same corner. The golden dice activated 42 times and my dice has 9 uses. The next enemy was instantly killed with piggy bank.

I suggest uploading the demo here on itch.io so more people will play.

Will play soon!

However, the devlog link is saying:

"This page needs to be reviewed by a moderator before it can go live. It should be available shortly. Why? In order to prevent abuse sometimes we need to delay publishing a page for additional review."

Also, please put more effort on your itch.io page. I see you have a steam page coming soon, so add the screenshots, cover image, and theme here too. This will help you with steam wishlists later.

Translated:

Thank you for pointing this out—I took the matter seriously and spent considerable time testing the actual movement/joystick code using real touch and mouse events to rule out any directional errors. No issues were found; the drag direction, dead zones, and anchor point behavior all checked out correctly.

I believe the situation is this: another player pointed out that on desktop, mouse dragging and touch controls use the exact same joystick system—yet the beginner prompts in all languages only mentioned "screen" or "clicking." Consequently, if you are using a mouse, there is no indication that the drag function works; if you only try keyboard controls or clicking without dragging, it is easy to get the impression that the controls aren't behaving as intended.

Version v0.9.31 has been released to address this: the movement prompt text is now device-agnostic ("Click anywhere and drag") rather than touch-specific. If you have a chance to try it again, I would love to know if this changes your experience. If it still feels off, please provide more details (keyboard, mouse, or touch, along with the actions you were performing when it felt wrong) so I can investigate further.

I use HTML5, JS, and CSS to code. I got lucky, and only need to directly upload my files. Going from web version to downloadable is actually difficult for me.
