End life plan
The game will remain available on itch.io for browser play and desktop download indefinitely. Since we implemented an offline fallback replay system, the game will remain fully playable even if the Unity Gaming Services (UGS) cloud backend is ever retired.
Transparency note
Generative AI tools were utilized exclusively to generate background loop videos and visual assets for the Windows desktop build. All core C# logic, UGS cloud replay infrastructure, UI implementation, game design mechanics, and audio integration were developed manually by the team during the jam.

The online leaderboard is real and it has two factions, which is the best version of this I've seen in the jam. Two columns side by side, NETRUNNER in blue and CORPO in red, with actual players in them. For a high score chaser jam that's exactly right, and having the factions compete against each other is better still.
The main menu is polished, a synthwave landscape with a red grid and a NETRUNNER STATS panel showing best infiltration, total runs and your faction. It treats you as a persistent character rather than a loose session, and being greeted with "SYS_ADMIN, WELCOME BACK" is a small thing that lands. The micro challenges are varied and on theme, each with the rule written on screen: "RULE: CONNECT TO PORT 8080", "RULE: CLICK IN ASCENDING ORDER", "RULE: INJECT PAYLOAD IN SAFE ZONE". Each takes seconds and all of them fit the hacker fantasy. The TRACE bar filling in green while you work is a great source of tension, and the red skull in the corner says the rest.
Honest caveat on my results: I did 5 runs and finished all of them on 0. The TRACE bar fills very fast for me and I'd hit 100% before completing a challenge. A good chunk of that is on my end rather than yours, so take the difficulty note with salt. Still, the suggestion stands: the first two or three challenges could have a slower trace so there's time to READ the rule. My first run was lost purely to reading "CONNECT TO PORT 8080" and looking for which one it was.
Two small ones. Retry on the end screen only worked with a double click. And the nickname warning says you can't change it later, which is good, but it's worth also saying that it goes onto a shared public leaderboard. I only knew that for sure once I saw the board.
Of the games I failed to score in, this is the one I blame least. Good structure, and the faction board is a great idea.
it's a pretty cool concept. I found it really difficult but I really like the vibe it gives off.
I like the idea and the execution, but I had trouble reading the text. The font particularly is very hard to read when zoomed out and certain numbers (ie 8,9) look pretty identical.
I liked the music so much, also gameplay reminded me of among us tasks
HIya! i did the music for this lovely here game i really appreciate the comment! i wll hopefully put up refined versions of each track online at somepoint hehehe
Hey, it's a pretty cool concept. I am a big Android: Netrunner fan and it scratched the itch somewhat.
The corpo security was just impossible to understand. Something about the fonts, the tasks makes it really confusing.
Which is a shame, netrunner part is mostly minigames and I think corpo looks like much more interesting game, but it's just really hard to get into.
The Corpo section is actually the hardest part to understand, so I completely get why it might be confusing. Here's how it works: the real netrunners' gameplay is replayed on the screen in the top-left corner. The four buttons in the bottom-left are each linked to one of the mini-games currently active on the netrunner's screen. If you open the correct mini-game and solve it before the netrunner does, you earn points.
