the audio is really good, and the concept of feeding memories to clock for survival was fascinating

Developer

Thanks, I’m glad you liked it!

really fun game, really good concept, and i liked the upgrade system a lot!! pretty addictive - the game crashed but i mean, that's how it is with a 4 day jam; excited to play it after the fix :)
plus the art and theme is really really well done

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the understanding about the crash, as well as your feedback!

It's a cool idea to feed the clock to stay alive and I like the RPG battle mechanics. I feel like there could be a lot of customization and depth to that. Game crashed when coming back to battle for some reason.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, a lot of people have been experiencing that crash, so I'll be sure to fix that as well as add more combat variety after the jam!

To me this is a horror dating sim where the horror comes from being unable to take the little fella behind the counter out on a date. Very elegant art direction and intriguing premise, big ups from me

Developer(+1)

Lmaooooo. Might add some romance options after the jam just because of this.

Really liked the combat mechanics, the clock felt so fun to use as a weapon. The game did crash after the 5th enemy killed on floor one sadly

Developer

I'll be sure to fix the crash after the jam. Thanks for the feedback though!

Game crashed for me while spam clicking to skip through the text that flashes up on screen between attacks. It was right when an enemy died, so maybe the game was trying to read data from a freed instance?

Anyway, awesome concept. Would work well as a larger game if it had more juice.

Developer

Yeah, there's a bug where if there's multiple enemies it crashes when you kill the next one in the turn order. I'll try to fix it after the jam. Verry sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for the feedback, like I've said I have a system to add more enemies and attacks, so I will after the jam. Thanks for the review!

Awesome!!! I found that I didn't need the tutorial like others say, for me I just read all the dialogue and undertsood. I really like this horror kind of theme, and everything fit very well. I really find it interesting with the lore, and I could see this as a fully fleshed out story. Very fun!

Developer

Yeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss!!!!!! I'm glad you picked up on the horror, I went more subtle with it this time than usual. I love your game and your feedback makes me really want to update it after the jam! Thank you soooooooooo much

As others said, its missing a tutorial, but the raycast style is great.

Developer

Thanks! I'll be sure to add a better tutorial after the rating period

Bit heavy on the exposition but the narrative is super cool and the battle mechanic is really fun. I agree with the other comment that a tutorial or even a text based instructions would have been useful because I struggled to find that to attack you had to click on the move but also at the enemy (which made more sense once there were multiple). Once I got that, I really enjoyed the timing based attacks, which would be even better with some variety, maybe in how fast the needle moves or some such. Unfortunately, halfway through, the game just hung on me so I didn’t get to finish. I might revisit it later, but great job regardless!

First of all, I want to say that I'm obsessed with your game and am so happy you tried mine out! I agree with a lot of things you pointed out. With the exposition thing, the dialogue was originally split between 3 other npcs that I just didn't have the time to make them. With the enemy thing, I actually coded a whole system to add more enemies and attacks, but I didn't have time to add any more. I'm glad you liked it, and this comment actually gave me a lot of motivation to flesh it out more after the jam! Thank you so much for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah I understand; the time constraints really got to me too. Glad you’ve decided to work on it more after the jam :) Good luck!!

Developer

Thank you! Good luck to any of your future endeavors as well!!

Artstyle and mechanics are unique. Could use better tutorials and more QoL but overall, very solid.

Developer

thanks! Thanks for pointing out the tutorials thing
