How does your game fit the theme?
Other than the pun about a certain vampire Count, the game uses a cooldown as a time pressure for player decisions in the puzzle gameplay

the fast time limit makes it a bit tricky to figure out which units you are combining. creative genre mashup though. the art is really cool! congrats to the team!
It turned out to be a very good game. Beautiful pixel art and a pleasant melody. This is a beautifully packaged gaming experience with a feeling of completion after a defeated boss. It is difficult, of course, to make informed decisions in a short period of time. Are you planning to develop the idea?
Very original game loop! The countdown being seconds instead of turns made it kind of hard for me to strategize, but it might have just been skill issue. Really cool!
Game is really fun. A bit hard to strategize for in the first few attempts, but once you get the hang of it, it gets pretty engaging. One thing I didn't understand very well is the win condition against the count. It felt like it kinda just ended.
Pixel art, overall concept, music and feel are all top-notch, congratulations!
Combining mechanic is so fun ! Loved the look of the game also ! Just didn't understood really how the units work
Really enjoyed the combining mechanic, but I think making the timer count moves instead of time would have made more sense. I also didnt quite understand what exactly the units were so I am not quite sure about the art.
Amazing game! The illustrations and pixel art are absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic work by the team. Nice job!
Awesome game mechanic, and very polished! Great job!
Lovely art and sound!
I managed to finish it on my first try. I loved the idea of creating units with 2048 mechanics, but I just mindlessly pressed right, up and down. Also I tested not playing it and got to the count but since he wasn't facing my unit it was a battle to eternity. Regarding the tutorial, I understood the game mechanics well but it seemed to end abruptly, like I just lost, then the game started.
The sprite art was pretty and the cover looked great, I was expecting something Survivors related but was very pleasantly surprised! However, it was hard to discern some of the units on both fields. I'm not sure if the double swordsman or the ballista are the better unit. I had a small gripe with the road in the ending not looping perfectly but that does not impact the game at all.
I suppose I listened to the game soundtrack in loop for half an hour while doing some errands lol, it's amazing!
Overall, great work and I believe there's a lot of potential here!
liked the art style although the inputs are a little unresponsive, i think more snappy inputs would be more enjoyable
Nice twist on a classic. I like the art, but it can be hard to read what's going on.
I feel like there's something really special in the concept of this one! Combining troops with this movement puzzle has some great potential for something bigger, especially with the added layer where you also impact the enemy troops.
Yet, right now, the time pressure feels too punishing. The gameplay is pretty demanding and I feel like I would need way more time to think of the ideal combinations. But I understand that removing the timer could also push players to overthink their strategy and take away a layer of pressure. So it might just be a matter of balancing!
The pixel art is appealing but I found it to be a bit too chunky for my taste. Not just as a matter of aesthetics, but more so in the gameplay where I find my troops to be hard to read, I struggled to understand what they would represent, but also made it harder to figure which ones I could combine together.
Despite all that, like I said, I really think there's some potential! I would be curious to see how far you could push this idea further!
Congrats to the whole team!

Hi Roy! First, thanks a lot for the time you put into reviewing our game!
You provided very nice insight about the gameplay and art. We managed to test with limited movements rather than time limit, that would create a completely different experience and will be something to consider after the jam is over.
As for the art style I completely agree. I know what each of them represents but im staring at them for like 72 hours lol . Maybe with more animation, space between them and some more resolution would make it more readable without losing the chunkiness I aimed for.
Creative idea ! 2048 fighting game in a medieval setting ! Well made, visuals are very cool and I like the sound design!
