I love the game so very much the design, environment ,audio all was very good Just one thing the enmy when I was stealing the diamond they are just in front of me but are not capturing me or seeing me that not happened every time but in some instances.

Nice execution ! The control scheme was unconventional but it worked well. Despite the simple concept I really appreciate the amount of polish that went into it, the flashlight is a really cool twist and the HUD is really appreciated.

The movement felt a little hard to control at times, but I was able to beat it! I thought it was a good addition having some items only visible with the flashlight.

I really like the idea but it seem to engage with the theme much :(

Not sure why but there was performance hitch on the top right side of the map with the 2 guards. Other than that it was a fun game with good audio.

Developer

thank you for playing! and thanks for reporting the performance spike, i will look into it

I like the mood and the stealing mechanic. I think the movement could be improved a bit. I really like the dark mood but in my opinion when you are chased since it’s so dark it’s a bit too difficult to understand which direction to take so maybe i’d just highlight a bit more the walls, Other than that i really liked the direction, GG

Developer

thank you for the feedback! i think i will make movement WASD instead of point-and-click, and i'll look into subtle ways of highlighting some walls so navigation is easier.

Atmospherically pretty good. Definitely felt like I was sneaking around a dark area looking for diamonds haha. I was however able to grab diamonds without being next to them. Also wasn't quite sure how the enemy detection worked as randomly they would do a 180 to see me. Great job though!

thanks so much for playing! glad you enjoyed the atmosphere. the enemy patrol behavior is a pretty rudimentary behavior tree right now, could definitely use some more time to improve it. i appreciate the feedback!

For sure no problem! I got a small performance hitch when I was walking around the top part of the map as well, I think there were like 3 ish guard lights I could see. But yeah the atmosphere was well done.

thanks for playing!

My favorite type of game during gamejam is simple graphic with satisfying juice, this is one of them.

Developer

that's exactly my goals for this project! glad you enjoyed :)

Submitted(+1)

Like how simple the graphics.  The gameplay was more fun then I expected. Well done.

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! i learned a lot from this experience and am very grateful for anyone who plays

Thought it was kind of funny how my immediate reaction was to press 'not yet' lol

Very very good fx and sound design, it felt satisfying to just navigate throughout the menus. The gameplay itself was also quite fun, I found it wasn't that necessary to turn off my flashlight most of the time since I like to play dangerously lol. I also really love the tension created as diamonds take time to perform, reminds me of back when I was really into Payday! I think my only gripe was I wasn't too much of a fan of the click to move movement since I like having full control over my movement and what route to take, but the polish and fun makes up for it!

Excellent work! :)

Developer

your feedback means a lot, thank you for playing!

nice little stealth game.

Developer

thank you! for some reason i am unable to play your game in the browser :(

Neat concept to add urgency to a stealth game! I couldn't quite get the final diamond after a couple tries, but the juice and interesting mechanics did get me to try multiple times.

Developer

thank you for playing, and the fact you tried multiple times makes me very happy to hear!

I can't believe that we got stealth game in this big 26,
it really fun game, i wish we got something to distract the guards

Developer(+1)

that would be cool! i could add a noisemaker projectile… 🤔

A decently fun game.  I liked the effects of the lights and the glow.  Having to wait at a gem to steal it creates some tension and you can't just run from the guards grabbing every gem.  A little weird to move around though.

I am an orb and I must heist

Its good but need more improvements.

Can you guys rate my game"Withers in Rage Flower"?

I really liked the mechanic of holding down a button to grab the diamonds. I would like it if the player—not just the guards—could also see the surrounding walls more clearly (for example, by having the area around the player glow slightly).

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback! The player can right click to turn on their flashlight as of now, It's explained in the tutorial, but not at the start of the main game loop. I will update this after the jam

This was a fine game, I think the player moves a bit too slow and the enemies don’t really feel like obstacles. I beat the game on my first try without taking damage. I think this could have been balanced to add some more pressure to the player. I think this is a good starting point though and theres lots of potential!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the challenge can be more finely tuned
