How does your game fit the theme?
The game explores Count Down in two ways. The player's life is tied to a real-world countdown timer. Taking damage reduces the remaining time, bringing them closer to their fate. Weapons also follow the theme: each has limited ammo with no reloads, making every shot count.

Even though GMTK doesn't provide an official overall score, most teams put effort into every category. We made this ranking by averaging each game's category scores so everyone can easily compare their overall performance
Thanks so much, we are immensely proud of this achievement!
Thanks to everyone for helping us with precious feedbacks! See you to GMTK 2027!
Really cool with the game within a game concept! Unfortunately after clearing the first level the trap door didn't spawn, so I didn't progress any further.
Thanks for playing. We know of this problem unfortunatly and we already have a fixed version for when the voting ends!
5/5 no further explaination needed
I really wanted to like this one - the charm was there, and the unique mechanic of being sat at a chair playing a game, within the game, was pretty cool - though the number of bugs just prevented it from really working.
First playthrough, the first level got stuck and wouldn't spawn an exit. Second playthrough, I got to level two, and the same thing happened - meaning I'd have to roll the dice with level 1's generation again.
Gameplay wise though, the mechanic is simple enough - but it's the external screen bit that really shines, and I kept checking every angle out of paranoia. The atmosphere was really well done - maybe auto-zooming in when combat starts could help, as I didn't realize that was a thing until my second playthrough.
The guns having no sound feels a little odd - but other than that, the gameplay is fairly solid. I just wish I could've played more without being stuck behind a buggy levelgen.
For something made in four days though, having all your own visual assets is an impressive feat!
Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately, due to the itch.io server issues, we didn't have time to upload our latest build. That version fixed most of the bugs, added six more OSTs, an entire new floor with a boss fight, and more weapons.
I hope you were still able to see the vision behind the game, as I think most of the issues affecting the enjoyment came from those bugs.
Definitely - the game has a really solid premise to it, and the vision is definitely there. With nore time to shine, it's definitely got the potential to be a really cool experience!
*bumps my head while playing* The music is fire
It made me feel like the gun devil from ChainsawMan. It was dope.
i LOVE guns... BIG GUNS.
