Love the atmosphere, I learnt about myself that I suck at telling time on analogue clocks, it’s a great ludo-narrative experience. Wish I could’ve guessed the murderer at the end, but the little animation was also a great ending.

Thanks for playing! <3

Great to see voice acting, and very cool atmosphere and storytelling!

Gotta agree with the others, great idea and atmosphere but really tough. The thing on the shelf (gun?) wasn't really visible on my screen so I didn't know what I picked up. Then I just couldn't find the last drink... I thought I was cooking when I realised I could use the room transitions to get behind the desk to collect the mug because maybe he wants some coffee, but unfortunately that wasn't it

gun was last second addition, i agree i could've done it better :P

puzzles are VERY hard to make solo, cuz i can't really test if the puzzle is solvable to other people :C

ty for playing! :3

Nice athmosphere. Really liked the art and the voicelines.
Sadly im a little bit to dumb to figure it out. Maybe a little hint would be nice. Was just very clueless what to do

Edit: Got the beginning, but after that no clue (Im also bad at stuf like this :)

I agree puzzles are a bit tough, i couldn't test them so i could tweak them :(

Cool idea. Interesting puzzles. I get that it's noir but the lightning needs work. Good game though

This feels so polished! While I'm not very good at detective games, I had a good time looking around and watching the same room evolve as I find new scenarios! Cool game!!!

Overall, a fantastic effort for a 4-day game! It has a complete story, incredible atmosphere, and clever puzzles. The only major drawback is the lighting and readability, the environment was so dark that I missed the gun and struggled to read the clock, and a clearer inventory indicator would help track collected items. Still, a really solid entry!

Developer

THAT'S WHAT I FORGOT, i genuinely was thinking about adding ui for items, but i kept forgetting D:

ty for playing the game :3

Absolutely crazy what you managed to make in 4 days!!! The game is smooth, immersive and good looking. Voice acting was funny, and I liked some of the references on the wall.

One thing I found not so good, was the puzzle... I don't know if it's a me issue, or the puzzle, but I really tried for around 10 minutes before quitting. I did understand that the call was supposed to happen at 3:14 and other stuff he mentioned, but I did not manage to do the puzzles...

Apart from that, great job overall and I wish you the best of luck!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, probably a puzzle issue lol, thanks for playing :3

Love the atmosphere, like people are saying!

The charm, the voice acting, it's all very good. Good cat poster. It's very noire-like without taking itself too serious.

It's all very impressive what you did with only 4 days!!

All that said, some puzzles were simple but fun (clock, safe), and the others where a bit frustrating (the goddamn bottles, I didn't even know the gun was a factor until I read in the comments it exists). This is 100% more the case because it's frustrating having to wait for a specific state in the scene if you run out of time. This is compounded as some of the colliders in the scene block where you want to go and you move at a snails pace. A sprint button would've done the game wonders.

Also managed to clip out of bounds hehehehe, (by standing where the sofa guy is supposed to appear, it pushed me up and I walked outside of the bounding area).

Did manage to beat the game and, again, it all feels very impressive!

Developer

Hell yeah, the game is beatable lol

The gun was the last minute addition, so i agree it's a bit out of place.

And the bottles are designed that way to make you search the locations (also last day addition lol)
Also, you can speed up the time by pressing LMB, so you don't have to wait for 20 seconds.

Thanks for playing <3

That’s a cool concept, I loved the idea of turning back the time!

Really cool atmosphere! Did not find the final solution, but the immersion was there and the concept is cool

This atmosphere is amazing! I was walking into a corner to look at the red markings, turned around, saw the blue guy, and nearly jumped out of my seat. Scarily immersive

Developer

he he he :)

Can only agree with the other commenter. I found a gun, lots of bottles, and a clock I could mess with, but then I was stuck for 10 mins before calling quits. Get concept though, it just needs a while longer in the oven I reckon.

Also man im ded

Have you talked with the npcs?
For most of them you just have to find a clue and give it to them

making a puzzle game without other people to test is REALLY hard, cuz if something is obvious to you, it's not obvious to other. Thank you for playing!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I did, for the guy in the window and the guy with the gun, then I couldn’t talk to them anymore. The ghost and the guy waiting for the phone never had anything new to say.

Also, 100% agree, puzzle games are so difficult to make when you’re working solo.

Developer

I don't want to spoil anything for the people that gonna look at the comments, but the clues are in the dialogue, the phone guy tells you the time for a reason. Also, the phone guy and the ghost are connected, you can't free the ghost without freeing the phone guy first.

Great entry. I found a couple of clues but didn't manage to go further in the story. The atmosphere you created was really well done !

Developer

I'm a 3d artist mostly, so i am really bad at making gameplay lol
Thanks for playing!
