You know what's good, mate —freedom for rats! Viva le rats! 🐀
You're right, mate! What could be better than a rat with a clear life goal?
Really cute idea for a knowledge based puzzle game, the voice acting is very charming
game has rat. 10 rats out of 5
rat
rat
Pretty cool concept !
Thanks for the kind words!
Oh my goodness, this is creative lol. One of my favorite games I've played for the jam, decent challenge, and freaking hilarious.
Comments like this one keep us motivated to make better games! Thanks for playing and for your feedback :)
Cool sfx , well done
Please rate my game Flip it
Short and Sweet. Loved the rat themed story. It was very cute and polished. I liked how it had a full story and ending sequence. Great work overall! :)
We're so glad you liked it! We tried to make something fun, but also interesting :D
The sfx are pretty good, congratulations
Thanks for playing!
A very cute and polished entry. It took me a while to figure out everything, but beating the game was really satisfying. I love the voice acting too!
Thanks for your feedback! We'll try to make the instructions a little clearer in the future ^-^
Played on stream!
Thanks!
Really enjoyed the art and sound design, especially the mouse hurt sound lol. Congrats!
Thank you for playing and for the kind words!
I couldn't figure out where to go while playing but I still had fun throwing glass at scientists as a scummy lab rat. Also the rat hurt sound had me laughing, lol.
Thanks for your time and feedback!
Here's a full guide (SPOILERS):
Pick up a glass shard from the floor, you can use it as a throwable weapon, go to the nearest door from the hallway, clear the engineers, get the frequency number in the back room (and another weapon), get to the left door in the hallway, clear the chemists, find the formula in the back room, get to the rightmost door in the hallway, use the info you learned, get into the rocket, wait, done!
Silly and cute game. Doesnt feel totally tied to the theme with the exception of having to beat the level within the alloted time frame, but the game play itself is fun and not terrible.
Hit boxes were a little funky, sometimes glass totally hits, but it doesnt.
Thanks for the honest and valuable feedback!
Did you play the game with audio on? It has a voice-acted countdown to launch, that's how it's tied to the theme :) Speaking of hitboxes, they are indeed somewhat funky and will be adjusted slightly after the jam ends.
I did have audio on! Honestly like the voice acting lol, its great
I love the goofiness of the game tbh xD the voice acting is 🤌🏽 I think if you can, maybe try to make the shooting feel a bit more responsive and tactile, but that's really not a big deal. great submission!
Thank you for your feedback! Adding effects like additional particles and screen shake is definitely planned for post-jam fixes :)
The game is great and keeps me coming back for more, but it would be awesome if shooting could be mapped to the left-click button
Thanks for the feedback! We will definitely update the controls so you can use both LMB and SPACE for shooting after the jam :)
The voice acting added a lot of charm to the game! some of the enemy hitboxes felt a bit wonky, but it was fun overall!
Thanks for playing our game and for the valuable feedback! Yep, the hitboxes/collision shapes of some things need to be adjusted slightly for it to be more enjoyable
Really enjoyed the voice acting here, it conveyed the countdown in a really neat way that wasn't solely visual. Man did i find the game difficult though haha! Idk if i'm just not used to these sort of games or if the controls for shooting felt slightly unresponsive, but overall i enjoyed it!
Thanks for the feedback! We felt like a simple countdown in the corner wasn't enough, so we also added voice recordings (several variations of phrases to make the audio less annoying).
And yes, I understand! The difficulty still needs to be adjusted a bit :)
Absolutely delightful game! Loved the voice acting and the overall concept was super cute. Now I'm super curious what type of cheese it was :P. Great job!
Thanks for playing and your kind words! It was Gouda :)
The concept of persisting information across time is very nice. the artstyle is very cute!
Yep! I love this kind of knowledge-based progression aspect of games, like in Outer Wilds (highly recommend if you haven't played it yet, it's a masterpiece that takes knowledge progression to another level)
Thanks for playing! :)
