GMTK Game Jam 2026

Interesting game. Love you use of 3D, it's not that often that we see that in a gamejam. I know it's a gamejam and you already know what I'm about to say and you just lacked time but : You should add a catch-up mechanic so the car behind have greater max speed. Sound design of the engine is really lacking.

I didn't book work off so didn't have the full jam time but you are right, I really should have prioritized having one or two of the essential sound effects

Don't worry. In a game jams, you can't do everything. So it's important that you decide before the jam what you are going to focus on. For example, my team and I, we decided to focus on UI/UX even if the game loop was very un-original. GL for doing what you could and doing a game that has a beginning and an end (we could not even do that on our 1st jam)

The driving mechanics felt a bit awkward and hard to control, maybe some of the upgrades help you in this regard but I finished the game before I got them. I always feel like racing games are really difficult to pull off during a game jam because players often expect very polished and responsive controls that you might not have time to deliver on. The mechanic that increases your speed if you kill more cars was a really clever

After beating the game I realized I can restart whenever I want, so I kept restarting and knocking the cars off the road until I was just plowing through the line like a hot cannonball through a butter ship. Very fun, makes me yearn for Burnout again lol.

Cool! Hitting other cars and physics in general feel good. It'd improve a lot by adding just some turn and drift animations
