I like how you have to actually choose between the cards instead of just spamming them, because some cards give you a longer cooldown. A pretty enjoyable experience with interesting mechanics! Although, I wish the game gave a little bit more time for us to think because i’m not good at deck builder games.
A tiny vampire defeated by garlic and saved through frantic card spam is exactly my kind of nonsense. I tried to plan, the countdown laughed, and somehow button mashing became a viable strategy. Keeping track of four meters and cooldowns was hard for me, tho the cute art and silly setup kept me playing another round.
Thanks for playing :D
Cool mechanic and setting! Would love to see where this concept could go with more complex cards!
Thanks for playing :D
The idea could be really cool if pushed a bit further, but a few things didn't quite work for me. The actions feel a bit too fast, which doesn't leave enough time to anticipate your next move and results in card spamming, which is actually how I won!
To fix this, I see two possibilities: either extend the card durations to give players time to think ahead, or treat time as a resource that cards consume, letting players take their time with decisions, though that changes the core concept a bit! Nice effort overall
Thanks for playing :D
I agree, I was experimenting with the concept and it definitely needs to be adjusted to allow for more strategy/decision making.
Sincerely appreciate the feedback, thanks:)
A card-battler to stand up? Very interesting take on the theme!
I think the game nails the panic of a countdown, it really makes me feel like time runs out faster than I can handle. I end up playing quite rushed, which I guess is the point.
The only gripe I have is that all the information is on too many place, far from each other, making it hard to get anything done and “why can’t I click this damn button?!”.
Other than that, great first game!
Thanks for playing :D
Great first game! The core mechanic is quite fun, considering I was playing quite a few rounds. I hope you release a rebalanced version with a bit shallower of a dificulty curve (4 odd meters to manage from go is pretty steep)
Thank you for playing! :D
I will!
Cheers
Loved the art and the concept! The vampire is so cute <3. I would change a bit the progression at the start, so it starts to feel like an auto-clicker earlier. Really good nonetheless. Please check our entry too, would love some feedback!
Thank you for playing! :D
Yeah I can see that, did not manage to fix that part in time.
Heading over to yours :)
Cheers
Neat game!
Pros: neat mechanic
Cons: hard to get understand the systems, even harder to win.
Thank you for playing :P
Thanks! Yes, I didn't explain the shop well in the tutorial, and it's not super intuitive. Also the pressure mechanic needs rebalancing

Love the silly story, and the gameplay was more fun then I expected from the simple initial mechanics. This can defenitly grow into a larger game.
One thing that bugged me was that with the time pressure it was hard to keep track of everything in different corners of the screen, especially the card cooldown bar would be nice to have close to the cards themselves I think.
Thanks for playing :D
Great point, I'll address it after the jam
Congrats on your first game. It was quite funny. Took me some time to get a hang of it. (Also, if you don't mind, try my game too? :)
Thanks for playing :D
I really liked your game as well, good gameplay loop and nice audio cues :)
I enjoyed the silliness and presentation! Are there more than one level? I could only Play again once I got back up! It’s unfortunate there’s not more level because you created a lot of systems and I was getting back up before seeing the cards I purchased in the shop!
I saw it’s your first game too. It’s very impressive, congrats!
Thank you for playing :D
I wanted to but did not get to make them in time. At the end I wanted to make a "Count falls on the beach in front of a church" :P
The upgrades in the shops are relics/meta. I want to add more cards and synergies/deck fixing/retriggering and levels, but for the time I had this is it.
Makes sense! I can definitely picture more content from the mechanics that are already there!
