Welp, now I have something to play when no one wants to play Go with me. (Wonderful work on this, lol. I had a pretty good time playing this and it’s a pretty clear sign I need to get better at it tho, lol)
Congrats on the placement. Top 100 in 2 different categories is no small feat
I painstakingly learned how to play Go from scratch to beat this game 🥹
it was very fun!

it was very fun!
This one stood out to me pretty quick! I really liked the Go-board inspiration, it gives the game a way more unique feel than I expected. The character portrait/dialogue also adds a lot of personality, which I always appreciate. It felt like there was a cool strategy idea underneath everything.
The theme fit naturally too, which made the whole concept feel smooth. I liked that it felt different without being confusing right away. It has that wait this could go kinda deep feeling, which is always fun lol. Really neat entry!
I've always felt bad for not knowing Weiqi as a Chinese person haha, but this game made me feel smart and sparked my love for this game. Such a well-polished entry too! Good job <3
For anyone knowing basic Go the game is too easy, but the opponent is silly and cute so whatever :3
it's very fun and helpful for learning Go! I love the characters as well
This is the first time I've ever played Go/Weiqi/Baduk in my life and I'm glad it was with a super cute and friendly and normal cute girl !!!! I love the art and general aesthetic so much!! The tutorial was great and covered it just enough for me to not die (the upgrade to see living spots helped a lot too because I would've never thought to close some of mine if not!!!). The dialogue and writing are so cute too I already love them so so much!!!! I would play more weiqi with her!
At first I was a bit lost, the tutorial went by so fast. BUT because it uses go, I was able to just look up the rules and understand more of the game and continue. It was great in the end and as my first exposure to playing go, a funny way to experience it.
As for the theme... I did not "feel" it. As in, while the countdown was there, I felt more threatened by the stones than the number in the corner. But even with that in mind, it was a polished, brain scratchy and fun!
Love the characters and got me to learn a thing or two about go :D The art is wonderful and love the back and forths both of them have throughout it.
Masterpiece. I think I got lucky but I beat the game in 2 levels :O
I like the art alot, Gameplay wise is also nice and feels responsive, music too feels very fitting
The character expressions are very adorable! The only thing I find maybe odd is that the eyes must be exactly 1 space each and it doesn't work if the eyes are larger.
So fun an intersting idea, a more complete version of this will be amazing
Such an amazing quality, art, sound, everything is so great! One of my favorites from this jam for sure!
The game is amazing, can't believe this'ss for a game jam! xD
WOAHHHHHH
Crazy good quality for a game jam! The dialog is funny, the audio is nice, the graphics are very well polished and the gameplay is fun.
I also didn’t expect to find and even play a go roguelike anywhere! GGs !!
Beaten the game!! Very fun idea to turn go into a roguelike! The narrative and art were entertaining, and the game itself was fun. I kind of wish there were places where you can perhaps make the placing of the stone faster later on - I feel like when you lose at some point (quite early on) you already know you cant recover from the damages, and just want to get over the round by just finishing all the rest of the turns. Lovely go tutorial for people who dont know beforehand how to play! Well done<3
HAVE YOU EVER PLAYED GO WITH YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE?!
Truly amazing to think that this was done in four days. Awesome game!
