I laughed at the opening part. nice rhyme there. I am still confused as to how to answer to the knock though... the game does not progress for me

I think I know what's happening I went back and relooked through the tutorial and noticed I forgot to take out the part about the there being an icon at the door. By chance were you waiting for that before clicking on the door? Otherwise if you click on the door and there's no more visitors and you've finished the papers you can use the bell on your desk to move on to the next day.
