How does your game fit the theme?
In this game, you're racing against the clock to escape a pitch-black maze. The biggest catch is that whenever you open your map to figure out where to go, the countdown actually speeds up! This mechanic forces you to memorize your path as quickly as possible and make split-second decisions in the dark before your time runs out.

Great game, love the visuals and the mechanics you came up with. One thing I'd suggest is to add a timer ticking-speed-up sound effect whenever you're opening the map, because I completed the game without knowing that. Another cool feature you could add is dashing with a big cooldown, it'd be cool to dash into the exist with 1 second on the timer. Anyways, the game is enjoyable and addicting, great work!
I am sad you ran out of coffee!
Me too
Cool idea! I especially like how the turtle bops his head to the music when he stops!
Making the map cost you time while it's open is a really clean idea, and the darkness sells it. Only being able to see one room at a time is unsettling in a way a normal top down view never would be, and the turtle moves nicely. I have to be honest that I never got to test the map trade properly, and the reason is worth flagging. In the browser embed at default size the HUD is cropped, so I never saw a timer at all, and my first run ended on a Game Over screen that was itself cut off at the edges before I'd understood that time was even a factor. I know the page says to play in fullscreen, but the windowed version is what most people rating are going to open first, and right now it hides the thing the whole design rests on. Anchoring the clock further inside the frame would protect it.
The controls were very smooth, and I like the idea!
Cool! I really liked the game idea
I liked it!
Loved the audio, and I liked how you had to balance between looking at the map and the maze. The time limit was perfect for each level.
