This is a pretty unique concept for a game! I liked destroying everything to get more money alongside the message the game shares. I also really like the visuals. Good job!
Population goes down, money goes up :))) Interesting interpretation of the prompt!! I love the lil alien dudes so much. The gameplay goes by pretty quickly so I think it could've benefited with some slower times but other than that I enjoyed destroying the world!
thanks you!
yeah, i should have adapted to make the game slower
I'll try to take your feedback into account this for after the game jam end ^^
It wasn’t clear at first that you can swipe the screen to go left/right/down, only realized after accidentally swiping
You are right, the game clearly lacks direction, and is confusing at first
Perhaps i should at least edit the description
thanks for your comment
wow, what a take on the theme! the art is top-notch, and the game feel of the clicker mechanics is really good!
thank you very much!
Oof. That's some morbid theme you got there :D
The gameplay is fine, but at the same time there aren't any decisions to be made, it basically plays itself, you just have to click on everything and you're basically done. The ending was funny though and I think despite my criticism - it has a right length - not extremely short but it also doesn't drag at all.
Good job on the visuals - those were definitely the strongest part of the game. The cutscenes were well made too ;)
Thank you!
Yeah, i plan to stay only the art part for the next jams, because this was so exhausting, lmao (it's a miracle that i could somewhat "finish" the game)
You're also right on the lack of actual decision making
I think you're actually the first one to pointing that out? I didn't realized it before you said it
The only actual "choice" is quite blind (i'm reffering to the boats, level 1 and 2 being renewable, and 3 fully destroying the ocean, preventing from gathering new ocean ressources)
This was a tough one.
I loved the graphics and I'm a sucker for idle clickers, but yeah... it really delivers its message when you can just click on trees slowly to make some bucks while they replenish, or you can go crazy and make them not grow back. It's almost as if the game forces you to concrete the islands.
The music was alright, I liked the polar one and cash city. But I would like some more sound effects. Maybe something more gut-wrenching for the animal deaths (the polar bears broke my heart).
Those were some fun and sad couple minutes.
Thank you for your comments!
Yeah, i wish i could have Time to implrment sound effects, it's actually my first time implanting music in my games
After the jam ends, i'll add sounds beyond music, and fix some details
Damn that "You can exchange your home world for numbers you made up" hit me hard... Well done! I think I enjoyed destroying the world a little bit too much ;(
Amazing! Love the story, the art, and the gameplay mechanics. Would love to see this expanded with more tasks and a bit of a tutorial to tell you what to do, cause I was confused by the buildings at first. Love the aliens too!
Thank you very much :D
Yes, this game clearly lacks some direction, it's a bit too confusing.
I'll probably fix some details and actually add sound effects beyond music, when the jam end.
If you have any idea on what kinds of tasks to add, I'd be happy to hear it on my discord ^^
God I love every bit of the message you send with this. Really speaks to me
omg thank you!
I love your game too, I played it during developpement :D
Happy that the message speaked to you :)
Wow, the plot had twists left and right, loved the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy reference!
Loved the game, great idea, very fun to play although I cried when I killed the polar bears. Amazing, 10/10 (or more like 5/5)
Wow thank you very much!
Love your game too
I'm glad the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy reference was caught on :)
Hey, you and I are Earth game buddies! 😄 I really like the concept, and the game feels very polished. My only suggestion would be to add some background music and sound effects—they'd make the experience even more immersive. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and would definitely rate it. Great job!
Yeeeeeeh Earth game buddies!! :D
I'll try to test your game as soon as I can,, this little slime looks so cute!
I'm glad my game feel polished to you!
I wanted to add sound effects, but I didn't have time, and I'm so bad at searching for soud effects lol
However, I DID added music in the game?
Might be a bug on some browsers (or you just forgot to put the sound on, happens to the best of us xD)
NICEEEE!!!! I have no problem with SFX. I actually composed the music for my game and found the sfx on this website called Pixabay. You should really check it out, they have a ton of royalty free SFX.
Fun short game. Satisfying gameplay and nice art style.
thank you :D
Your gamr is very fun too!
Satisfying but also guilt-inducing. My reaction to the ending was "Yeah I probably deserved that." I like it.
That last bird on earth broke my hearth
Same for me on each playtest 🥲
At first, i just made it so each bird have a randomized max hunger
(so that they don't die all at the same time)
Didn't expect it would do that "Kauaʻi ʻōʻō last chant" feel
it end up serving the point of the game, so... """Happy""" accident, may I say? x)
Like the art and it was pretty fun :)
thank you :D
I love the art of your game too!
I think we both used simaliar art styles for the intro cutscenes lol
