I liked the art style but having the twist spoiled in the game's webpage was a bit of a let down.
Oh! I'm very sorry, would you have any feedback on how I could change it?
Honestly, I am not sure, writing is not my strong suit. I think setting up the mystery might be enough?
Just changed the description, thanks for giving me the feedback! :)
WHAT A TWIST! Really enjoyed the story and the art!! Super happy with the amount of narrative games available in this game jam! GGs! <333
Thank you sosososooo much!!!! It makes me really happy to hear that you enjoyed it ;-; And yeah! I have to agree with you with the narrative games comment, 'cause it's been so fun to play everyone else's narrative games and see what they've come up with!
Love the narrative story. Interesting use of the theme. I assume there are multiple endings. Super well executed. Great game!
Thank you so much for playing my game :D
It makes me really happy to hear that you enjoyed it!!!
The way game written at the start was little hard for me to process cuz i am not a native speaker, so i assume it's written beautifully :). Anyway, it gets more easy during the main part, and the story is interesting to follow
ah, I get that, thanks for still playing it through to the end even if you found it a little challenging!
This was an enjoyable experience!
The story was well paced, and it felt like it was under pressure... It was a nice story and seeing the characters and trying to think who could've done it, that from getting the clues, the killer wasn't as unexpected as I thought...
I was hoping to maybe get something different at the end, but the finality does speak narratively... It was already doomed from the start...
The color palette, the classical style, the beautiful writing, how the characters look and feel... It's nice
Overall just nice art and nice music. Its been nice seeing it through and thank you for doing the game jam.
I appreciate this feedback a lot!!!! I had originally had a much larger scope, but had to dial everything down when I realised that I had set a WAYY too difficult goal, so I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed it :)
The art style is beautiful. I love the colour palette, character design and frame compositions!
Thank you so much!!! I had to choose a style which was simple enough that it allowed me to have enough time to create all the assets within the constraints, so I'm glad that you can still enjoy it!
I love the sketch art style and James’ voice in how his dialogue is written—he comes across very detective-y. Even though the dialogue was ‘typed out’ at a speed I liked, I clicked to end the typing animation because of the sound it made for some of the longer ones. The twist is great!
Thank you so much for playing the game!! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it :)
