A relaxing match-5 game. The cat walking around getting in your way while you are doing something is so real lol. Did met some issues which were already been described by other people below the comments, so I won't repeat their words. Overall, a nice game to unwind!

Really enjoyed this game ! It's relaxing and satisfying to play, and I love the cat of course :3

My real cats were very interested in this game!  Excellent sound effects and music, and I love how the cat is wandering through the scene! Classic. It's a great-looking game with a Bejeweled type of gameplay that I enjoy. I like how it's not frantic, like many of these countdown games. I could just relax and enjoy.  It feels complete and professional, and I'm really impressed that you made it so quickly! Great job.  I think I'll  go play again...

Cozy and relaxing game. It's great that it's playable on mobile too, so you can just kick back in the bed and have fun.

I can't pass up a cute cat main character game!!! Nice job overall. I liked the overall execution of gameplay, art style, and music.

Agreed with the others, this feels great!! very polished overall. The music fits like a glove, as well as the SFX choices.

I like the addition of making it harder by consuming more hearts as it goes. I think the star of the game is the visuals for me, I love the cat walking around I wish I could pet it! I can see this being a great base to add more ideas and mechanics onto. (Maybe the cat starts messing with your pieces by swapping them around...as cats love to do?).

Great stuff tho! Congrats on a successful jam

Thanks, man!

This was a great experience, and it's awesome to be sharing it with other people from the community, I feel very inspired :)

Something that helped a lot getting it into a more polished state was to save some time and start the jam with a template ( which is allowed by the jam rules, by the way )  .... scene routing, splash screens, menus, all of those take time and are kinda the same for every game

great game, feel really polished but i encounter bug like i cant click back on rules when i play the then go setting and open the rules

Developer

Thanks you!
I'm sorry you've encountered this bug... and thanks for reporting

I found it just after the submission dead like so I couldn't change it, I'll fix it later. This was one of the last features and I couldn't test it as much as I wanted :/ that's part of the process, right? hahaha

I want to pet the cat!!! I wish it annoyed me more. But in all seriousness, fun little game and cute art style :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the comment!

By the way... I also want to pet the cat hahaha

Really relaxing and fun puzzle game! I like how this game is on a hexagonal board compared to rectangular ones, definitely making it more unique! I also love the occasional cat walking over the screen! I had a little bit of input issues, where I would select item A, then try to swap with item B, but instead of swapping I would just select item B. I also tried dragging to swap and it was also finicky. Not a big issue but just something I noticed.

Overall really great job! The art is cute and cozy and the game is very charming, congrats!!

Thank you so much for playing and also for leaving a comment! :)

Yeah, I didn't have time to stress test it as I'd ideally like, specially on mobile / touch screens the input is not there yet. Thanks for the detailed description of your problem, I saw my dad hitting exactly the problem you've described  😅

Thank you!

Is the cat annoying but cute? Good, that's exactly the idea <3

I love how good the UI of the tiles feels, the little movements and how the cursor interacts, I might steal some of these ideas for my future games haha

Developer(+1)

Please steal hahaha

It's hard to say where the inspiration for the UI polishing came from.... I'm just coming up with ideas using the vocabulary I've accumulated over the years of web dev and by playing games / interacting with apps. Basically it's the same thing for you right now being inspired by some aspect of it. So we're all in this together, plagiarism is something entirely different.
