4 DAYS.... HOW TF IS THIS SO GOOD??? One of my favorites from the jam even tho I didn't get really far.

Interesting but I think the puzzles are way too obtuse (I couldn't get anywhere without the hints) and I don't think the timer swapping you between timelines really works as a mechanic. To me it only makes the game more annoying without really adding anything. Maybe if it put you back to where you were in each timeline every time it changes, to stop you having to solve the same puzzles over and over, it would work better? It might also help to have a button to swap timelines, to save the player having to spam-hop just to get to the timeline they want.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I've been play testing with friends and have arrived at similar conclusions. It's very useful having an outside perspective too and more data, I appreciate it!

It turned out really cool! I'm amazed how you managed to create such cool textures and models in just 4 days. I think it's very beautiful. It's a bit lacking in background music, but even so, it's excellent work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The models are actually from this asset pack we have access to, but the combination lock is custom-made. Good background music would have been a nice addition for sure.

Tricky puzzle game, I really liked the gloomy mood, helped to be immediately immersed !

Developer

Tricky indeed, thanks for playing!

This was hard to progress even after reading the clues on description but still its a good puzzle game, our game is similar but the time travel aspect is different. Check it out :D

Developer

Thanks for playing! We have a lot to learn about good puzzle design.

good game :)

Developer

Thanks

I really like the concept of using the timeline's information to solve puzzles in different times. I concur with the other comments and the developer notes that say the puzzles are a bit tricky. Maybe a way for the player to take control over which time line they're in would smooth out the puzzle solving.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! More control over time lines is a great idea.

Hehe, I made kinda similar time travel / switch game back in the 2014 or so :D
Only managed to escape cell in one of 3 timelines and got lost.
Not a fan of limited turns, I'd rather do a separated button and free exploration.
3 timelines and not very clear puzzle mechanic requires some smoother introduction IMO, but it definitely have some potential

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We intended for the jail cell locks to be an introduction but accidentally made that puzzle way too difficult. Allowing free exploration between timelines could work well, good point. Is your time travel game on Itch? I'd be interested to check it out.

Puzzle solutions are in the description, please don't feel bad for checking them!

Turns out, I am trash at this game lol. Cool concept!

Developer

I doubt you are, we made it more difficult than intended. Balancing puzzles across three time periods is tricky!

Submitted(+1)

This is a good one , i wounder how did you manage to do this in just 4 days ,  keep growing

Developer

Thanks, it was tricky in 4 days.

Submitted(+1)

Cool concept, but man am I bad with puzzles

Developer

Thanks! I doubt you are, we struggled to balance and pace the puzzles across timelines, especially for the jail cell.

Submitted(+1)

Maybe im stupid but i was stuck in the cell... i was bummed since its a cool concept!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback!

I don't think you are stupid/alone in being stuck. I find escape rooms pretty difficult even without time hopping shenanigans. We have updated our game's description to include solutions.

Submitted(+1)

I like the time passing concept!

Developer

Thanks!

1010 - Bit heavy for a jam but I would say a bit of balancing would make it a blast <3

Submitted

Hm, for me it didn't work, wasn't able to leave my cell

Submitted

I used the number 1010 to get out theres a letter nearby

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, the letter makes sense now

Developer(+1)

The clue is October 10th is the birthday of your captor :).
