I really enjoyed the simplicity of this one! Was a good play, although I do think just a lil more player choice could benefit the game, most times there's a pretty clear choice for what to upgrade.

Yeah, I know, haha. I'm still new-ish to game dev (well, to getting anywhere with it haha), forgot about this jam for two days, and have never made an idle game before, but that is something I want to get in there after the jam finishes (even if just for my brother lol, he loves it)

I got to rebirth! It's a very nice game! I think that the concept of an idle game where you don't get more of the "things" but reduce their timer is really clever. Though I have noted a few things that bugged me when playing :

First, I'm not an expert in idle game (I don't play idle games often), but the beginning of the game felt very slow. I don't think that the speed is the problem but the fact that you don't have anything to do while waiting for the countdowns to go to zero. Inversely, when you have unlocked every timer, you start to snowball very fast.

Also, it would be great if there was a way to know how many "points" each timer gives.

But overall, I think that it is a great game!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, it's not the most well balanced, and I'm definitely not the first one to think of the concept of it going faster, but I spent two days on this (I managed to forget about the jam lol until a couple days in) and really enjoyed doing so, so I plan to keep working on this more, and the snowballing thing is something I'd noticed and plan to fix later, including adding more rings

I made it to rebirth. The sounds effects were fun but totally cut out at a point.

Developer

If you mean for a single ring one it got to a certain speed, yeah, that was on purpose, I thought they wouldn't sound good once they got too fast but I seem to have been wrong, and it's worse when they cut it out. Once the jam is over it'll probably be fixed

The loop sound effect gets very satisfying when it starts going fast!

Developer

Thank you! I was terrified it would get annoying haha but I didn’t have the time or experience to do anything better lol
