Love the atmosphere and vibes!

The build was running a bit poorly, despite changing all the settings to low.

Also, how do I pet the goat?

Developer

Thanks!

May I ask which CPU you have? The issue is probably not the graphics, I'm running the procedural generation and wind physics both on the CPU. Even if height sampling is multithreaded already, the game thread's definitely busy.

Left Mouse Button or E to pet goats, don't expect too much, it's just making some sound. Though I gave my all for the voiceover there haha

Lovely game!

I love the chatty AI and the player.

I do hope there are some more polishing in the game, because I got really confused on what to do at the start. But alas, as a game jam game, you can't ask for much more.

Great work though :DD!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it!
Yeah that's were I run out of time lol. A small tutorial would have been nice, I can learn a thing or two from you there haha.

Loved the somber atmosphere! With the world being the way it is nowadays, this game makes you think...

Developer

Thanks, it means a lot to me to hear that. That's exactly the feeling I wanted to convey! Thanks for playing :)

I liked the game - it has a really nice atmosphere.

The controls took me a little while to get used to, but once they clicked, they felt pretty understandable. I know some other people found them confusing as well, but in my case, I think it was mostly on me rather than the game.

After playing for a while, I noticed that the map was looping. At first, I didn't realize that was intentional, so I got a bit confused when I couldn't find any more trees. Once I understood what was happening, it actually reminded me of the previous GMTK Game Jam, where the theme was "Loop." That was a fun connection.

Overall, I enjoyed the game. Nice work!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it!
The connection to the previous jam theme was unintentional at first and just my alternative to map borders, but nice you noticed that too.  Thanks for playing!

Sorry Could not play the game. Tried running it with wine on linux but there are some graphical issues.

Developer

I'm not really familiar with linux or wine, but I'll double check that things like that will work for our next real game release. Thanks

Seems great idea. But didnt get why all of a sudden I was walking in loops and there were no trees and couldnt figure out how to put meat on fire tho good job.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! Maybe I should have been more clear about the instructions and controls - E or Left Mouse Button to cook meat. The looping terrain was just my way of creating "map borders" lol
