Cool game! it was interesting figuring out the different phases and once I got a hang of the key combo the movement was fun! Also like you have mobile support.

Developer

Really wanted to be able to easily share this game around, mobile support was the way haha
Thank you for taking the time to play, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

love the isometric graphics here! and a fun gameplay loop

This is some very stellar boss battle design. Very enjoyable, I admire the level of polish in this game. The different attacks did actually feel like vastly different skills, they impacted the play area it is really something that I didn't expect to be at this high level. I wouldn't say that I would like to play a full version of this game, but I would love to see elements of this game in some future full releases.

Very nice experience, cool jam game.

Very pleased to hear this, I tweaked the boss patterns alot to try and get it right, and a game featuring these elements is exactly what I'm aiming for - I consider this game a prototype for just one/half a mechanic for a future game, thank you!

This is a great interpretation of the theme, and every element is very well-executed. The isometric perspective is the cherry on top. What were your inspirations for that? I wanna say Landstalker? Regardless, really good stuff here.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
I was slightly inspired by Hades, but the main thought in my games is "what if I could move freely in an isometric pixel art world", pretty much like in Landstalker indeed, but aiming for a more "modern" game feel with retro aesthetics, I'm glad you liked it!

REALLY fun and stressful lol the pixel art is so good, difficulty progression worked really well too. I did struggle a bit with the controls on the keyboard but on mobile it was awesome. great job!

This game is  a 10/10 for me in every way possible ! First it was very smooth and fun to play, the concept and story is brilliant, the controls works perfectly and coming from a guy who play a lot of soul type games this is pretty much a rouge-soul combo ! and the ending is quite thoughtful too, great work man ! I'd love if you play our game too thank you !

This positive feedback is very meaningful for me, I made this game as a partial prototype for my dream game, hearing that the base loop is working well from someone familiar with the genre is very reassuring, thank you for taking the time to play it and writing your thoughts!

Wow! Great game! Indicators and telegraphing are well done!

I love the artstyle! It's a really cute game and quite fun once you can figure out the controls. I really wish you could use wasd instead though...

Developer

I actually started out with WASD and changed it after a few playtesters tried it, I'll consider enabling it alongside the arrow keys, thank you!
