I think it has potential - the mechanic is interesting, it's a shame you had to make that difficult decision before submission.

It is definitely quite tricky to get the hang of - thinking about where I want to lure the hunter vs. where I want to be!Love the aesthetic and the retro sound.

i was kinda stuck in perpetual death touched by the enemy/hunter. but nonetheless it’s a cool concept and execution. good job!

A cool idea (reminds me of Braid) with some slick audio and visuals, but the hunter's tendency to teleport near to you and the frequency of bits to get stuck on after changing screen made this a bit frustrating. For example, there was one moment where I had to climb up and the hunter teleported from below me to the screen above and effectively trapped me in both space and time, as I couldn't escape with rewind.

With some tweaks to the level design and hunter movement logic this could be really sweet though, I hope you keep working on it!

Thank you for your sincere review. I’m really sorry—mainly because this game was cut down like this at the last minute:(, but actually after the cuts we realized that this way of playing seems to be more fun, though it was already too late.

No need to apologise! I hope I wasn't too harsh, game dev is stupidly hard, and I had a similar thing last year where I had too much on my plate and had to cut it down last minute, so I get the feeling. Funnily enough, there's quite a few similarities between your work here and my submission last year!

It's a shame you couldn't get it done before the deadline, but with a few tweaks this can still be really cool. I wish you the best of luck in your future work!

the hunter at the start is more annoying than I hoped, maybe toning down the speed and making the space bar jump would make it slightly better, overall, creative game

Actually, this game’s key bindings can be changed. Thanks for your honest feedback, and I’m really sorry. The main reason is that the game was cut down like this temporarily :(. But in reality, after cutting it down, we found that this gameplay seems more fun, though it’s already too late.
