What an amazingly simple and addicting loop for the gameplay, it really pulls you in bit by bit. And the upgrades are so well thought out too. Also the art is responsive and smooth, everything just works, the quality really shows through.

Those are some chubby capybaras, they look so funny XD. Great game, the games very addicting and fun. Incredible work :)

very cute game, i love the sillyness of the capybaras, how the sleep on eachother when upgrading capacity

the game is very polished

there was some performance issues when i got near the end but it wasn't unplayable

i do feel like the game loses something near the end, since the player sorta upgrades away all of their tasks so the only thing you have left you do is upgrade, it would be nice if the upgrades added to the existing tasks rather than outsource then to the staff

like a speed boost or instant upgrade ability idk

jiggly jiggle. one of the most enjoyable games! great work for such a short time omg

Really enjoyable, felt just like those addicting playable ads lol. Nice polish and the Capybara was so cute! Good submission!

Fun game! Everything worked really well together. Solid game!

really cute game! everybody loves capybaras, and the coin collection and drop off felt satisfying to do. I think this would be a great game to work on post-jam too

Adorable Capybara game, would be perfect for mobile.

very fun game, I like how it's just like one of those fake mobile game ads lol

I like how the higher capacity rooms are the same but with capybaras on top of each other lol

the staff all go to the same work spot though and there's no speed boost to having multiple in the same room so some kind of AI manager would help spread them out.

the coins got very laggy for me and the later upgrades take ages to buy cos the coin spend speed doesn't ramp up.

maybe you can compress the coins into higher value coins when they stack too high

could be a very good incremental game with some optimisation and QoL tweaks, maybe some more room types and events

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this! I agree with pretty much everything you mentioned, especially the staff distribution and the coin performance and spending issues.

I was under a lot of time pressure before submitting, so I didn’t manage to optimize and polish everything as much as I wanted. I’m planning to keep working on it over the next few days, and your feedback gives me a very useful list of things to focus on.

I really appreciate the detailed feedback and the time you put into it!

i really like the idea of the hustle, the capybara's working like real people with real hustles really warmes my heart i still know there are indeed good people in this world. just one question my friend, without any toxicity at all just out of curiosity, why does every capybara has such a big bottom it really caught my eye and i really do respect the hustle. PLS make sure you rate and respect my game i really hustled about it

have a nice evening

The reason is simply that it makes me laugh so much. Capybaras are already such cute, derpy creatures, and I have a weakness for anything derpy.

My husband made the models, and every time he showed them to me, my feedback was basically: “Make the butt bigger and rounder.” He kept going until it was perfect 😂 Then he added the toilet-twerking animation on his own, which somehow made it even more perfect.

And of course, I’ll check out your game too!

My computer couldn't handle the magnificence of the capybara. 😥 It's a shame, because I absolutely love games like this! Creating a game of this scope in just four days is an impressive achievement. Great work, and congratulations on what you accomplished!😊

Mate, it's an arcade-idle game, just because the genre grew on mobile doesn't make it a 'phone game', it fits the theme, it has a quirky aesthetic, I think it's great.

And what's wrong with phone games for a game jam anyways? I added mobile support to my pc-aimed game too.

Developer(+2)

I used a mobile aspect ratio so people could comfortably play on their phones, but as I mentioned in the description, pressing fullscreen opens the game at full resolution. I uploaded it under a bit of time pressure, so I didn’t manage to mention that it also has full keyboard and mouse support and can be played normally on a computer.

As for it being “just a phone game,” yes, I develop mobile games professionally, and I genuinely fell in love with this mechanic. I find it really satisfying and fun, and I personally enjoy games that are cozy, juicy, and a little silly. I was excited to explore that style in a game of my own.

It may simply not be your genre, which is completely fair, but I’d appreciate it not being dismissed because of that. It was still challenging to develop: balancing the game economy, creating upgrades that feel rewarding, and working our capybara humor into the experience. I especially love that they twerk in the bathroom and stack on top of each other when the bedroom is upgraded :D

It’s definitely not a serious game, and honestly, those are often not the games I enjoy most as either a player or a developer but for the small scope of the jam, this was exactly the kind of playful, funny experience I wanted to make, and I think there should be room for that too.

Great game, got me sticked on the screen for the whole 6 days of work

So freaking fun! I am literally suffering from success in this game :DD. Great job!

Developer

Thanks! And yeah, it was hard balancing it, and optimizing for mobile, but I'm glad you liked it!

I wish I had more time to solve those challenges 😅
