Great game!

I like the idea of this game. I do feel the fact that the only goal is burning through your deck makes the optimal strategy a little obvious; just draft the cards that will eat up the deck fastest and keep playing them until the game becomes unwinnable. Still, a deckbuilder is an ambitious direction to go for a jam game. I'd love to see what you do with this game post-jam!

Unique interpretation of the theme. I really liked the game's atmosphere and art! Unfortunately I ran into a bug where my last card vanished but the clock kept ticking :(

this was a cute take on the deckbuilder genre!

tbh I suck at card games and getting the rules. This still was a very cool idea. The atmosphere and the music were really good. I liked what I played

You know, I also thought about the Doomsday Clock while we were brainstorming our game 😂

I like the planning ahead you have to do and thinking through the possibilities of what will happen when you pick a card. If the UI were cleaned up a bit and more interesting cards/variety was added, this would be a lot of fun. Good job!

such a cool idea! i love the little piano notes and the way the cards flop onto the clock lol

I had a lot of fun playing this! Great concept for a game! Lovely card game that I personally haven’t seen before, great job!

The game's pretty difficult for me, but i like the artstyle especially the color choice! Red and yellow are a really cool color combination. I like the combo when the cards are automatically discarded but i wish it was faster, but other than that it's pretty well done! Good job!

Liked the idea of basically milling your deck. Lots of things could be added for high risk/reward. Tho I would not put the cards on the clock as it doesnt allow the player to see how many steps they have left on the clock when you dicard a  high amount of them.

I had the cards fall on the clock to try to add some visual interest so you weren’t just looking at a big yellow circle the whole game, but I do see how it could clutter visibility too much later on. Maybe if i have cards show up in the background behind the clock in future I could get the best of both worlds

Submitted

I think the background ideas is cool, I picture them floating like a swirling of cards which becomes more chaotic with more cards added to it

I like the creativity but got quite confused on what I was doing and how everything worked. With some polish I think it can be really fun

Developer

Yeah, I think I have a bad tendency to have systems that are difficult to understand at first, problem that comes with making the game so a lot feels more intuitive to me than it really is

I think the cards could have done with artwork. It was fun but slightly confusing.

Developer

I wanted to add art to all the cards, but ended up running out of time before I got around to it (and some of the cards may have had too much text on them to allow for art that takes up half the space available given the current text setup)

Submitted

Love the concept, really cool to see how cards play off each other and it was fun to try and create good combos. Great music, it really fit the style of the game.

Submitted

Whilst the art is fairly basic, the concept and creativity are very strong. Really fun idea and engaging deck builder. Nice work

Thanks! I’m not a great artist so glad to hear you enjoyed my MS Paint doodles!

I was also a little confused as to how the gameplay worked with cards adding/discarding. The art/music was cool

Developer

Thanks! I tried to go for a distinct style for the art and music, albeit with my limited skills in both areas

I was very confused on what was happening, I wasn't sure what I was meant to be doing, and I wasn't sure what the cards did. I like the idea of trying to get rid of your cards in time though, kind of like uno on a timer.

Developer

I do think I could have had a bit more of a tutorial on what was going on, I was aiming for a lot of big silly combos ala balatro, but may have done a bit too much too quickly for players to really get a grasp of things before the silly combos start :/
