Cool Art, and interesting gameplay

I really liked the suspense when the dragon is chasing you! The art is also really well done. Solid game!

The game has the vibes of an unreleased Everhood game. Love the way the characters look, especially the dragon. Also I love that the shop menu looks like the cape of the shopkeeper.

The main issue I have with this game is the lack of difficulty/tension. The game  has the potential to become a tense strategy game where you have to weigh your every move. The current version doesn't have the incentives to make the player make risky decisions, it's always better to throw away your things since ultimately the only things you are losing is time since you have to do another run. Also, besides the less expensive loot there is nothing stopping you from grinding in a level untill you are strong enough to easily beat the following ones.
Maybe a fully realised idea of this game could have a limit to the amount of runs the player can make untill it's game over, or maybe it could have a debt system, where every couple of days you have to pay an ever increasing amount of money.

one of the best games of the jam

Really enjoyed the mechanism. (Thank you for the QoL with double click)

It's very complete game for a Jam, and I strongly think it has potential to be extended!! Well done.

and just... front running animationS: you are insanely talented!

Super fun push your luck game. I really enjored the intesnse music during chase scene. How did you animate the thief running if you don't mind me asking?

Developer

Hello, the thief is just 4 frames animated, big leg in the front then it becomes smaller + little tweaks for the head and body. It is pretty simple but enough to understand what is going on

I like the art style

This is such a charming game, the extraction aspect really plays in nicely into the theme. Wish the popups over items appeared faster but otherwise would love to see this further developed!

Awesome entry! The aesthetic was super vibey and the UI is fun. Also getting chased by the dragon was surprisingly tense. Other than the potion that gave you a burst of speed, I wasn't quite sure how a lot of the potions effected the gameplay.

Adore the artstyle, love how deliberately wonky and tactile everything feels. I wasn't sure about the loudness mechanic, does it speed up the counter? And there wasn't much feedback when dropping items whether it actually slowed down the dragon with "decoy".

Amazing idea! Love the stylization<3 Just struggled a little bit with how close the dragon actually is.

It was a really fun game.

Pretty fun. There’s two countdowns, so it fits the theme; the first is just the usual boring “oh there’s a timer” countdown, and the second is the dragon chasing you which is why the creativity is so high.

Although, if you go for the speed upgrades asap like I did, then you basically become unstoppable- especially with the decoy upgrade, you can constantly throw and re-pickup your least value item to just keep the dragon slow.

Also, if you have any backpack upgrades, then you need to buy stuff in order to have room to sell stuff.

Pretty original concept! I really enjoyed the game loop and the kinda creepy vibe of the drangon and the whole dungeon. -B
