How does your game fit the theme?
The amount of "blood" the player has is constantly counting down. The player plays as a robot vampire named Count B.L.O.O.D.L.E.T.T.E.R who has to take down vampires in order to lower their creators debt.

The game's sfx and lore is top tier, i really love the idea of a vampire ai collecting blood to finally end the vampires once and for all. With some improved graphics and better storytelling it would be really interesting concept to explore. I found the control pretty difficult though, killing enemies was fun but i could barely last more than 20 seconds and that was by sheer luck i believe. Also in the lore menu, page 4, for some reason it was completely blank for me.

Well done!

Great job! Plenty of juice. The sounds were good, it was fun to move around (if a little tricky at first), and it’s hard to hate shooting a giant blood beam

Very cool!

While the automatic movement and turning controls felt a bit tricky to master on my end, balancing the blood beam mechanics is a really unique idea. Overall, it's a super fun and creative game. Great job!

I think the concept for this game is super unique! never would I have imagined a world where vampires explode from too much blood lol. That said, the mechanics felt a little unintuitive at first. With the blood stream going behind you instead of in front, it essentially felt like the controls were in reverse, and also it felt like the blood sea would fill up my blood too fast for how limiting the movement is at times. I would go to fill up and accidentally end up dying by filling up all my blood because I can't turn fast enough, making the blood sea feel incredibly punishing yet still entirely necessary. However, I still really enjoyed playing, especially when envisioning all the lore you embedded in the game! Great job on this!!!

Thanks for playing! Yeah based on most of the comment here it seems like I really need to work on the controls for my next game so I agree.

Think you did a better job with the "keep the countdown within an allowed range" mechanic than a similar game I played, since there's multiple ways to increase/decrease the countdown. Appreciate that you're trying to approach the theme from different directions (I somewhat shoehorned in the final boss being a Count in my own game) but going from deep vampire lore to geometric shapes was a bit jarring.

The controls are pretty hard to get a hands on but I was able to survive for longer the more I get used to the steering.

Very cool Idea and writing a multi page book about the lore is also some crazy work. I did have some troubles with the controls, maybe if you could change it so you can also steer with your mouse direction relative to the player or something, it would be a bit easier to play. This is one of the few games where you actually want to take damage.

Thanks for playing! Your idea on how to make the controls better is interesting. I might try it.

Thanks for playing!. Glad you enjoyed it.

This game is really great, there are so many details. A creative theme, nice music, lore, fun gameplay, a clear goal, different enemy types, I could go on. I mean, what games have the player moving constantly moving forward, but killing enemies from BEHIND?!

Now with the praises aside this game obviously has its flaws. The art being the main one. With such basic graphics, all you'd need is different lore and this game could be anything else. There could've been ANYTHING to represent vampires visually, but it's all basic shapes.

Second the gameplay, while pretty fun, is really fast and the controls are clunky. I found my best strategy to be simply go in circles and occasionally replenish blood in the sea when I went below 20 blood. Very boring as you might imagine.

Additionally, the UI being basic text makes it hard to read. Plus the fact that it updates slowly makes it even harder to read how much blood I have left. At the very least add a color change or animation when blood is getting too low or high.

Overall, I think the game has a lot of potential and if it didn't have the few flaws I mentioned, it could very well win the competition

Hey thanks for playing my game. Yeah i'm pretty bad at art so I tried to keep it really simple. Could have used assets but I wanted to see how far I could get with just simple shapes.

Overall, your criticism is pretty valid. First time making an original game so i'm glad to have it. Thanks!
