cute art, and carrying multiple chickens at once making you drop them is a cool high risk mechanic lol. simple but super catchy core loop, nice work!
Thank for the nice feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the game😁
Surprisingly fun for how simple it is.
I actually could see this being the good foundation for an incremental game. Drop the time for a round to like 15-30 seconds. And then between rounds let the play buy upgrades based on how many chickens they caught.
I recommend in the future, have a slightly lighter touch on the SFX. You could have brought the volume of the "holding chicken" down heaps and would have had the same effect, and blended in with the game's music more.
Overall great job!
Thanks for the nice feedback, I was a bit pressed on time so I didn't have time to fine tune things sadly. I'm going to work on the prototyp post-jam and take the feedback into the process.🤗
Had fun! The gameplay loop has potential for more mechanics as it currently feels repetitive. Cute artwork!
Thanks for the nice feedback😁
great game foundations. the core gameplay loop is fun but here is how you could have improved the games by adding small things : decrease the time from 90s to 60s for a more dynamic gameplay loop, maybe with small upgrades each run ; adding simple movement mechanics, like rolling to catch fleeing chickens ; I really liked the fact that carrying several chickens at once makes you drop one of them in the way, so its high risk high reward.
Thanks for the input and kind feedback😁, I might build a bit on the prototype post-jam. I missed that the the jam was this weekend so I had a few other things to attend to so time was not a plentiful commodity this time🤗
I understand ! feel free to experiment on it as much as you want after the voting period ends :)
