Wow! This game really reminded me of the early 3D platformers. It honestly left me wanting to play more levels and keep exploring the world, which is a fantastic feeling.
I think the level could have been a bit smaller and included more challenges instead of being so large and straightforward. Even so, I really enjoyed it. I also appreciated being able to freely explore after finishing the level—I took the time to look around the map in quite a bit of detail, and I genuinely liked what I found.
Congratulations!
Wow, what a game! I really enjoyed it. Keep it up, brother.
That was just very fun the whole way through. I wish there were even more abilities for me to use, after a while there isn't really a difference in having 8 jumps and 15 jumps
I think the character's really cute
very cool game, i liked the player controller it was very fun and the mechanic itself is short and perfect for a game jam , one small thing is that it felt like some of the cogs had smaller hitboxes but that might be just me as i assume you just loaded each one from its own scene, also i saw this game on instagram reels and tbh it didnt look that fun but after playing it i can confirm it is fun
the cogs are all the same scene so my guess is that it comes down to placement and perspective that couldve communicated the placement better. thanks for the feedback! and damn im impressed my reel got to you! im glad it managed to reach other devs :D
yeah ofc, the placement was fine but maybe make the area3D a bit bigger. im surprised too but tbh i have my reels tuned so they are mostly game dev.
This was nice, especially the art. I think each gear you collected should have gotten rid of an ability instead of adding one. As it is now, it becomes much easier as you play. If your options became more limited over time, you'd have to plan your route, especially at the end where it would be much harder to get from gear to gear. Just an idea. Cool though.
that was actually the original idea for the game (also fits into the countdown theme) but i just found it really unfun and frustrating rather than enjoyable and i didnt have much time to start tinkering with the idea too much with the limited time given, so i went with the power creep aspect in since i found it enjoyable in its own way. but i agree somewhere in the middle wouldve been more engaging. thanks for the feedback!
Ah, 3d platformers, I’m not the best at them, but I still love ‘em. 😁
Great job on the animation and responsiveness! I agree with speaker_s that it gets to a point where it starts to become a bit too easy as you collect the gears, but I feel like that’s something you can explore after the jam. Otherwise, I really loved the movement and the ability to just explore and move around.
Congrats on finishing the jam!
YES! I LOVE 3D PLATFORMERS! I am assuming this was Rittzler inspired (and if not, be sure to check out Psuedoregalia and their other jam games!) The animation is lovely, the movement is fluid and fun. The only issue I have with this one is that it's a little easy, especially as you collect more and more gears. Perhaps you could have put gears in places that needed a certain number of other gears to get into. For example, a place up really high that you can only reach when you are able to perform 5 extra jumps, etc. That said, it was fun enough just to move around in this game, which is famously the mark of a good platformer. Great entry!
thank u for the feedback!! i agree the level design couldve utilized the many cogs you get, thanks for the direction :)
i acutally never got to check rittzlers stuff (ive been meaning to) but i probably picked up some vibe inspirations from seeing it around a lot
It’s a great game and a lot of fun. Good luck at the jam.
It's not bad at all! Really smooth mouvement, I enjoy a lot this feeling where you can go wherever you want. I assumed the main goal was to explore, but the environment ends up feeling a bit repetitive.
The tutorial is really well done, though. Great job with the level design!
really cool visuals, and a pretty fun platformer :3
tho i feel like a sensitivity slider would have been nice, also the game freezes a lot when i do actions for the first time (like a double jump or a dash)
Thank u!!
The freezing is a Godot quirk, tried to negate it with lot of workarounds sadly didn't have much to do
this is incredible!!! genuinelly amazing. the reveal after the tutorial, the movement is incredibly responsive. it kept me playing and playing!! i would play a entire full game with multiple levels like this!! veery enjoyable.
Holy this is actually awesome. The reveal after the tutorial hits. And the idea is clever, like upgrades just keep stacking the two simple moveset, makes the platforming and routing surprisingly interesting. Aesthetic and vibes are also great, and the free roam is a nice touch.
Amazing execution! Absolutely loved the reveal of the giant open world after the tutorial, very fun. Also enjoyed that you gave the player more agency than you would get in a typical game. I find that in game jams, it is better to let the player feel 'strong' or over powered, so giving the player lots of cogs to start made it feel very free and enjoyable.
Also, great idea to have a free roam mode after you complete the game, great feature.
Loved this!
Very fun game! A little bit 'broken' once you unlock many jumps but very fun, great looking, smooth feeling and overall a great job!!
Awesome game! I really enjoyed the concept, and the execution. The dash felt great and so did the jump. I think it would be cool if you could add more movement options later on like a slide or something. Overall, very cool!
Love the freedom of expression that comes from slowly gaining more movement options. Would be really cool with with more development time to refine the movement set!
thank u!!!
