Punchy and fun! Nice work!

Really fun game with a satisfying gameplay loop! Charging in aggressively felt much more exciting than playing safe. The enemy variety kept things interesting, and the visual feedback was great. I think a few more upgrades or meaningful choices during gameplay would make it even more engaging. Great job!

I had fun playing but I couldn't get pass the first stage. Once I got my strange power activated, but couldn't find the exit. The lights and sound bring a lot of life to the simple shapes.

this is fun and the controls are good but it gets difficult very soon!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you found it fun and liked the controls. Yeah, it gets pretty intense quickly! Good luck with your game too!

Fun little shooting game, the sound effects and audio were a great touch! The option to turn off the glow effect in the menu was appreciated, I really liked that you could see the difference of glow on vs off in the menu as well.

Developer

Thank you so much! Really glad you appreciated the glow toggle feature and the audio design.

Finding the right standing spot and clearing the enemies from there is satisfying. Good action/shooting game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the tactical feel and positioning. Good luck with your game too!

Simple graphics, but its hectic and fun.

Developer

Thank you! "Hectic and fun" is exactly what I was going for with this neon action. Appreciate the feedback and best of luck!

i really likethis little demo, unfortunalty a i us a AZERTY Key bord i can properly play the game, but the overall likke is grea.
Also it seem that the music start playin over and over when you die in the first level

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the demo. Arrow keys should work for AZERTY layouts, so hope that helped! And thanks for catching the music bug, I'll definitely fix that overlay after the jam. Good luck with your game!

I'm not sold on the artwork, but the gameplay loop is there. I think if this would've had some hand-drawn assets it would've been far more enjoyable for me. It's just something about the glows I think.

Developer

Thanks for the honest feedback! Yeah, the neon/glow art style is a bit specific and not for everyone. Glad you liked the gameplay loop though! Good luck with your game!

So, first round I tried to play a bit careful, and quickly found myself overran from every direction. The next round I played like rambo and that was so much more fun. The feedback you get from the game with it's flashes is captivating, and I was immediately imagining having to fight this tetrahedon-demon later on.
F dem Trianglez, and F dem Circz
The pacing is good, but I need more options. I need to feel like it matters to kill a circle/triangle. Narrative is fun. Maybe you can throw in a cutscene where some circles are taking away my wifey square.

Developer(+1)

Haha, "play like Rambo" is exactly the intended way to play this game! Glad you enjoyed the game feel and visual juice. The idea about a cutscene with a kidnapped wifey square is hilarious and actually brilliant for the plot, love it! F dem Trianglez and Circz! Thanks for the awesome feedback and good luck!

Hey Rob. What a great first game jam game! I loved the different enemy types and the idea of "health" being a strange power. Two suggestions:

- Having an option to turn off screen shake would be nice. The photo-sensitivity warning at the beginning was a great touch!

- Maybe give the cube different abilities when the strange power is higher? Kinda like the closer you are to exploding, the stronger you become, but ultimately you need to be at 0 to escape?

Just suggestions, nice game, good work!

Thanks a lot for the awesome feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed the mechanics and the enemy design. Your ideas are great, and I'll definitely consider adding an option to toggle screen shake and those new abilities for the cube in a post-jam update. Good luck with your game too!

I liked the glow FX on the characters and the music created tension.
