Nice idea to make the character a bomb with its own countdown. I'm a bit ashamed I didn't think of that, especially since my dad, when he was a kid, wrote a poem that just says "TIC TAC TIC TAC" for an entire page, and when you turn the page, there's a giant BOOM.
