Really fun little game! I like your art style! But the keyboard controls just take a bit of getting used to for me though :)

This is a very fun game! A tutorial or some images to show how aiming and moving with the hook would've been nice, but once I got used to it, moving with the hook felt very smooth and fun! The art is also very nice. Excited to see the full version!
very cool mechanism but it slightly feels like the game you need joysticks. to properly capitalize the hook mechanism. or need some refined targeting system. one complain i have is i cant diagonal hook throw without walking off the ledge. i have to jump and throw.
Cute little platformer with a cool mechanic! I think a very simple tutorial would be great, just some text in the background right at the start of the game saying what arrow key and a, s do. Using those keys for controls is not the obvious thing.
The game looks amazing! I love the art style and the sound design. Although, for me, it was a bit difficult since I'm not used to this type of game. 🥴
But putting my personal experience aside, I think the game is great, and I also really love the concept! I hope you can turn it into a full release someday soon!
The entire game looks very complete. The mechanism of the hook is also very appealing to me, but this operation method is really difficult for me who has been using the WASD and spacebar keys for a long time.
Good looking retro game, it took me a bit to master the grappling hook. After that, I then try to improve my best time. My best time was 1.16.
pretty fun, kinda dissapointing there was no music, though i did read the other guys comment and though i prolly got it WAY faster than them, a tutorial would def be nice
I managed to finish the game, but it was quite challenging, especially while getting used to the controls. It took me some time to understand that the hook could be aimed in different directions, and I only discovered by accident that it could also be thrown diagonally. However, since the character keeps moving while aiming, the controls often felt awkward. I think it would be much more comfortable if the player could stop in place and throw the hook without moving.
I like the core idea of the hook mechanic, but the current implementation still feels a bit rough and not always pleasant to control. The connection to the jam theme also felt fairly simple, since it is mostly represented by a standard timer. Still, for a game jam project, it is a solid concept with an interesting main mechanic.
