Really liked the game idea. It was quite enjoyable. The controls were easy to understand, and very intuitive. I liked how the keys clustered around the same area (so the game could even be played with one hand :D). I could see myself sinking more time into this with better difficulty optimization. When I understood how the game works it became way too easy, as I had a ton of resources, and could collect a lot in each level, and a big army that would demolish everything in a new area.

Also, once an area is clear of enemies, the game has this boring phase where you just run around doing nothing and waiting for resources while the falling ground catches up. I think there should be something more interesting to do during that time.

Another slightly unintuitive thing were the forrests. At first It thought you can’t pass them (they seemed super dense) so I used to try to run around them, and I even once I saw you can pass them, I still would sometimes forget, and try to dodge them.

I think the collection of the materials was really great, I liked the animation of the numbers. I think it could be even more satisfying with some sounds.

I got a bit bored after 20 minutes and fell off the ground intentionally in the end.

Gave the game to my so. She also enjoyed it a lot, but after half an hour of play encountered a bug? Basically there were no exits and the ground was not falling anymore :D

Overall though, really polished, very enjoyable and fun. Good job!

Love the concept ! A smart idea to keep player on their toes. I really enjoyed how frantic it was and it's quite well polished too. Now to manage to play withou outspending myself into a corner ahah

Cute graphics. I could feel the pressure as the tiles fell into the void. I think I got locked though because I ran out of wood despite being surrounded by trees lol. Perhaps there are ways to harvest from the environment even at a much less efficient way. Other than that I think this is a great start.

I survived 21 minutes and died because I didn't have 2 stone. Incredible Game! This has really potential to be made into a full game. The Artstyle is cool and I love this hexagon style. Navigating through the lands and managing all buildings is really fun. At first I need a few attemps to get what I had to do and how to spend my ressources.

Cool Game!

Thank you so much for playing! I really appreciate you spending so much time in it. It honestly means a lot to see someone enjoying it and getting that far!

this was quite fun , a creative take on the theme and really well executed , I would definitely like to see where this goes post jam.

I kinda like it (and I normally don't enjoy RTSs so that's saying something) !

Love the art style! Curious how the road generation was done!

This is a really cool concept for an rts game, and really well implemented. Great work!

Genuinly so very impressed and in love with this game. Waht a super concept and i LOVE the art. Having the paths go down the sides of the tiles where the path ends is genious, and I would give anything for the FBX file of your horse and main character to be able to 3D print it (can you dm me?)  - its the cutest character i've seen yet in the jam, and love the way you animated it.

Thank you so much! This honestly made my day.  I’m not actually sure how to DM on itch.io, but you can email me at eduard.abdullin42@gmail.com. Thanks again for the incredibly kind words!

The artstyle is really cute!

I do like the concept of the game, but I don't think it really came together. A problem is that the game is a bit too lumber-y. Every building requires lumber to build, every soldier/archer requires lumber to hire, packing your buildings into caravans requires lumber, and buying new land requires lumber. Because of that, you're constantly running back to your lumber mills to do everything, which isn't as true for the mines/windmills.

It's also really easy to screw yourself out of resources. Like I packed everything up to head to the next area, only to find that I was 5 lumber short, which meant I had to put my lumbermill BACK and get more lumber before the tile disappeared. It's a bit unforgiving.

Also, please update the controls on your itch page to include all the controls. It's really hard to tell the difference between "Press E to build" and "Press F to buy" when zoomed out, and while you can zoom in you don't really want to be doing that all the time.

Regardless, very creative idea!

Thanks a lot for playing and for such detailed feedback! I totally agree with your points.

Maybe after the jam ends, I’ll continue working on it for a while and try to fix these issues to make the experience more enjoyable.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write such thoughtful feedback — it helps a lot!

Some sound effects and a goal would be good, but the gameplay is pretty solid here. Fairly polished as well.

Great use of the theme and very nice visuals!

The game is very fun, but I found myself without any woo pretty soon and could not make any progress... on the one hand, it was my fault for not recovering the lumbermill fast enough, on the other hand, changing the building's cost a bit could make it easier to recover from bad situations?

Anyway, great job!

Very fun and interesting game to play! Love it!

This is a wonderful game! I really love the game loop. I found myself stuck sometimes when I don't have enough resources to discover new land, it would be nice if the amount needed to discover new land already pops up so I know exactly what resources i need before I pack up and head off.

Otherwise it's so good, I can see myself playing a full game of this!

Very polished game! But,

I spent all the resources in the beginning and there no way to get more resources without spending some. Maybe generate some resources over time so player doesn't get stuck, would make it better

Loved it , definitely a unique take on the theme  good work !!

Whoa, that's pretty cool -- love the simplicity of the controls and the design, somehow moving around and interacting just all felt really smooth and good. I like the music a lot, and it had a fun pacing. It did almost make me want a game with similar style that was more of a slow builder though -- there was a lot of upgrades and resources all shown at once -- and me being the dum-dum I am -- didn't know not to just spend all my resources on knights immediately once I got to the first barracks and soft lock myself :)

But overall really intuitive and nice feel to it. Would wanna see it fleshed out more since it's just one of those games that feels good to control.

Great concept, and very well put together! I enjoyed playing, and the animations were beautifully integrated.

Some feedback to improve: I would find a way to increase the text size in the settings. Another thing I would alter is the beginning of the gameplay. It took me a minute to understand, so when my buildings started falling, it felt like I was too late to recover. Having a start scene with a settlement falling would help with that, or making a couple of chunks fall more obviously at the beginning would help as well.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing! I really liked your idea for the starting scene — I’ll definitely try to add something like that if I continue working on the game after the jam.
