Development of the game continues after the game jam! Multiplayer is now avilable!
The version on itch.io was reduced to a launcher, that now runs the game on crystal-seed.net
One of my favorite games of the jam so far for sure! I didn't QUITE understand what makes the crystals explode though. It said something about Diamonds, but not sure how those look like as opposed to the beneficial gems.
Oh well, you found a thing. The gem legend is only shown in custom game. Diamonds are the white gems. Another way that a part of a crystal explodes is when you cut all the way through another crystal, then the smaller part explodes.

Very unique game- I like the idea a lot. Took me a bit to actually learn, figure out what to do, and really start playing, but it became a really fun strategy game once I figured it out :D

I ended up spending a good amount of time on this game, really really cool concept. Reminds me of Creeper World, one of my favorite games. It's got some RTS elements in there too. The behavior of the crystals is really satisfying, you deserve more attention!

Reminds me of those flash games when i was younger that are like click and drag to make pretty things happen. cute!
