Nice game! The audio and animations were cute, controls felt good. Shooting seemed a bit slow but not didn't cause an issue with the gameplay

Really cute little game & animations, controls are very intiuitive
Y'all did a good job!

Loved the art and the cute animations! It was pretty hard, but that’s what I liked the most about it, its difficulty. I really liked how you implemented the count down by making the level itself be the countdown. I did something similar in my game. Nice job! Also the controls felt extremely smooth and satisfactory!

Great job! I liked the music and the feel to the controls. Shooting was a little slow, but I got used to it.

I  really like how the music intensifies as the game progresses!

I would have loved to see a bit more enemy variety, and a quick explanation of what the power-ups actually do, since it isn't very intuitive right now (aside from the heart, of course).

Nice job !

I enjoyed playing the game over and over to beat my high score. I especially liked the music getting more tense as you go through the stages. My only criticism is that it did get to a point in which the game felt repetitive. You could add more upgrades like a faster charge, or more enemy types such as a slower and tankier enemy. I do understand if you didn't have the time add more to it, though.

Overall great game! Keep doing what you're doing!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Nice game. I recorded my review of it, I hope you find it useful!

Thanks for the video of you playing it! That is really helpful for how to make the game more intuitive to play. Also yeah unfortunately I did not fix the bug of difficulty persisting between runs. I only realized it was still happening after it ended.

Pretty cool concept! I especially enjoyed how the music got more and more intense as you reached new levels! The music reminded me a lot of the music from Journey of the Prairie King in Stardew Valley. The timing of when to throw your little ball was a little slow. i struggled with wiping out all the enemies before the time ran out unfortunately.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try and for giving me feedback. I will keep that in mind!

Interesting little piece, when I began chargin I though I would be kamehamehaing all the enemies but a small weak bubble came out, maybe when you charge it a stronger attack comes out then just clicking. But I really really like the design choice of the song slowly getting more complex as you progress. Really nice game!

lol as I was playing, especially after picking the first rewards, I was thinking how it felt like Binding of Isaac, then I saw it was an inspiration! I liked the movement a lot, my early impression was that it was too floaty but in actual combat it feels good. Meltdowns were fun chaos and I like you still have a chance to win during them!

Feel like this is inspire by the old zelda or Binding of Isaac. The charging feels slow, but other than that it's a fun top down dungeon crawler. Nice!

Developer(+1)

It is inspired by The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth! And thanks for your feedback about the charging time, I agree and want to add upgrades that make it faster. Thanks for playing!

The game was very fun. I'm impressed by the ai movement, that was tuned very well to be the righ amount of challenge. I was just wondering though, what is the ball upgrade supposed to do? It did not seem to increase damage I think.

Developer

Yeah unfortunately I added items near the end of the game jam so it's not very intuitive. The ball upgrades do increase damage, but only once. The reason you probably didn't notice it is the enemies also increase health with each room.

Stone ball - 2 damage

Gold ball - 3 damage

Thanks for playing the game!

Nice game! I like the narrative of the (reactor I'd presume) melting down while fighting enemies!
