Mission accomplished! Pretty tough in the current state but for anyone else looking to get past the tricky parts:
You'll want to go around the far side of the trashcan , then between the tight space between it and the wall to keep the cat stuck there. Then you can do the platforming up the perimeter of the trash. The cat part is over! You can explore around the top area freely. For the cheese, continue up the side of the refrigerator magnets-- they are small and a bit awkward, what worked the best for me was to jump, strafe out to the side to dodge anything above me, and strafe back in as I was falling (particularly helpful for the jumps after the pink letter, onto the far green, and then onto the big brown ones). The you can grab the cheese, make sure the cat is still trapped, and go win!
I had lots of difficulty with the fridge magnets but it was really cool seeing them (maybe just have them stick out a bit more) and I love the scene design + the 2d art too! Really cool game fun to play from that perspective!
Thought it was broken until I realized the pck file is here to download also, you should .zip em together next time~!
Otherwise I could not out run the crazy cat character. I searched far and wide for cheese, and even vibed to the epic techo music, but to no avail.. Cute game!
Thank you so much for the feedback and taking the time to play. I was wanting to zip them together when I thought about it this morning, sad I can’t edit it to do until the jam voting is over, but makes sense why I can't. I'm learning so much, it’s my first one!! Very helpful, and I realize the I put the cat a little too fast so I fixed that as well as the timer not resetting on restart, and two other things I found to improve it. The trick with the cat is to box him by the trash can if it's hard to make the jumps in time. I'll update the files when the jam voting is over! Appreciate it!
