The race to save your mate has a nice sense of urgency, and the art gives the game a lot of personality. I found it difficult to avoid getting caught on small objects, and I didn't fully understand at first that reaching zero wasn't the end. Still, this is a nice start for a first game.

as a first game its a good start, i would say having the players hitbox be that long got me stuck very often on the smallest of things so making it smaller than the sprite could improve that as well as a couple of feedbacks for actions like particals or hit flash for when you take damage/beat an enemy

Developer

haha tell me more ^_^ what do you mean by hitbox? The action feedback is a really great suggestion thx

Cool game concept and art style, I would love an attack indicator tho :)

Developer

Thx!! Currently trying to figure it out :) got any tips?

The countdown reaching zero doesn't end the game, and you can still win by reaching your mate any time after. It'd be nice to have a forward-sweeping attack so a player with good timing can fight the rogues without taking damage first.

Thanks! I know!! Haha I realized that something switched after I submitted and now I gotta wait till voting is over. I did update already and will consider the forward-sweeping attack. It's my 1st game so still learning everything. <3
