Good stuff.

Very fun idea! The “kill your clone” mechanic is an interesting way to branch off into different possibilities. It also provides for some slapstick moments where your clone yeets a box at you and you die on the spot.

WOOOOW Easily my favorite game of the jam so far!!

However I have to say a few things:

- A tutorial would've been great, because at the begining I couldn't understand anything.

- As other people have said, some control over the respawns would be nice

I like the idea of having a giant puzzle which takes you a lot of time, but with this game I think that having a lot of mini-puzzles would've been better, in the style of Baba is you, for example. I don't know, it's just an idea.

Anyways, I loved the game and the main mechanic of the timeloop felt super polished! Well done :)

Thanks for playing and for the kind words! We originally intended for the level to be more open and more like overcooked than a traditional puzzle game hence the singular level. I do agree that individual levels would have been a better fit (and easier to test) with the direction we were ended up going in. Thanks again :P

Very nice! The mechanics are fun, I would play a longer version of this. A couple of rough spots, though:

* I didn't like how dying before a teleporter turned on sent me back to the beginning. It'd be good to have some control over respawns.

* I got stuck on the second teleporter... it didn't turn on, so I wasn't able to get past that portion.

Thank you for playing! I really wish we had the time to iron out some of those pain points. If you were able to use the teleporter without waiting for the end then you could have a scenario where you move on to the next section and another clone interferes and breaks the connection to the teleporter. This would be a softlock because you wouldnt  be able to go back and fix it. I was looking at better solutions for this problem but unfortunately I ran out of time. Running out of time also meant that we never got to test more than the first 2 rooms, I just connected everything up and hoped for the best :P

I feel that, there were spots in our game where we got designed into a corner without enough time to fix it up. The levels are very carefully arranged to avoid potholes :P Nice work, all the same!

This game is very polished! A very fun theme and looping mechanic! What a great game for this jam! This would have done wonders in last year's jam as well!! Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much! I don't think anyone on our team knew what the theme for the last jam was, we just happened to match it perfectly haha

Nice and polished game you have! Enjoyed the artstyle and the mechanics. As we had a similar idea and both used godot, how did you do your recordings? Did you record all events and passed them into the physics process?

Developer

Thank you! Yes the player records their velocity, and function calls and they are played back during physics process and their positions are checked with a position buffer to see if their path was interrupted by future player.
