The way the pieces react is not very clear.
Leads to the doing moves more or less randomly
Really cool use of a pre-existing rule set to make something new!
Excellent jam entry, always impressed when someone manages to add an effective tutorial (we errr, did not).
Very fun! Creative idea of how to use chess pieces without replicating chess.
very creative, well done
Tricky. I found it a bit confusing that a piece that moves is not always the count, but apart from that very solid game!
Very fun! Don't really find a countdown mechanic in it, but it's pleanty fun!
My favourite game so far. I would appreciate some more stuff in the endless runner, like ways to get back pieces like when i found the imposter. Otherwise this was great fun! Awesome job!
Very well made and a really good spin on the theme! Needs more reviews. But I'm not so sure how to find the coup, because sometimes pieces moves that aren't the coup, do they just do that sometimes to throw you off? Because the tutorial says that only the coup moves, or atleast that's how I understood it.
Innocent pieces may or may not move if threatened. The Count always moves. I feel like I could've explained that better in the Tutorial lol
One other key point is that Innocents may move into threatened squares while the Count will always avoid them. The Count behaves like a King (in traditional Chess) in that it can't move into a square that will kill it and it can also be checkmated.
Thanks for playing!
Amazing chess puzzle. I love to see chess submissions in GMTK :D. For me personally this is a very original concept!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed
This is very interesting, and it hurts my head after 4 days of game development, but very nice with all the polish. I only played until level 5 in the endless mode, but I still don't feel like I completely understand the rules.
