came back to see the results for the game and it's criminal this one isn't #1 in enjoyment smh... 28th isn't anything to scoff at though, that's still amazing!

So, so good! Each run feels manic and exciting, with the constant appeal of just one more that kept me fully engaged until I'd bought all of the upgrades. Love just how juicy it feels - the fantastic looking bite followed by the little speed boost, the wild energy that the coffin upgrades provide, the shake as you get low on health - moment to moment gameplay is just so much more fun as a result.

The music couldn't be more perfect, with both the shop theme and the main theme bringing exactly the right amount of energy and the appropriate playfully spooky feeling, whilst still feeling distinct. Art is likewise fantastic, love the chunky outlines and the sketchy feel, especially on the vfx which add so much to the frenetic feel each run.

Couple of asides - the screenshot of the shopkeeper complaining about being trapped in a screenshot is perfect, and am I hearing a laugh from Rayman on the main menu screen?

super addictive!! All the abilities felt different and provided a new feeling while trying to get deeper and deeper! my very very small "complaint" if you could call it that is some upgrade that zooms out the camera? I felt like because of the speed I was going later in the game, it was really hard to process what was ahead of me, especially after biting an enemy which gives you a substantial speed boost! amazing game!

I'd had this one on my list for a while as everyone in the GMTK discord has been raving about it. It definitely lives up to the hype - it's very fun & very creative, but also a very funny twist on the literal theme of Count Down.

I also really enjoy the roguelite format of this concept. Absolutely the right choice!

Incredibly fun game, genuinely could not get enough of this one, All I can say is that I want more so badly, this is a new addiction

Great game! Loved  everything about it. Looks and sounds awesome, artstyle is amazing, jokes and references are funny and cool, I really enjoued playing. Couldn't get past 1.3k meters no matter how hard I tried so couldn't see the ending, but it's okay, still very very well done game.

Super enjoyable game, i honestly wish there were more upgrades because i wanted to keep going

Really really fun! I managed to buy everything from the shop, but couldn't make it to the bottom and win, but I had a blast! A lot of potential and a lot of charm!

Really charming and well-made game! I like the shopkeeper a lot.

Really good and addictive game, and I love the aesthetic

Genuinely a near perfect game on all stats. It is extremely enjoyable and also addictive too, such a cool spin on this theme! Very well polished too, one slight issue is that it does get out of control at times and exceeds my reaction time. It is pretty tough to get to the end.

Love the progression of the game! I went from struggling to get $30 to easily getting $1200 per run in a matter of minutes. Even though I wasn't able to get to the ending, I still loved the feeling of playing the game. It's really well polished and I love the artwork, overall great game!

Absolutely awesome game! This game would KILL on mobile and i mean that in the best way possible!

One note: there should be more you can do with your coins once you've got all the permanent upgrades. Another is that the game can get really loud at times. Other than that, great game!

Great game! Love that we both had the idea of the count going down! One of the best ones which I have rated so far

This is one of my favorite games in this entry. The art , audio, animation and game play design are all great! Great Job!

Oh yeah. I love me a good ol' launcher-type game in any of these jams, and I must say, this is one of my favorite launcher games. The movement is silky smooth and satisfying to a tee. The upgrades all modify the game in interesting ways; I particularly love the toothpaste(?) upgrade that lets you chain bites. Allow me to make a few comments:

* The saw, I find, doesn't really do too much good. It's a little too fast of a turn in my opinion, and in the first place, the player is almost always going down. The bite and bat are more effective ways to avoid danger, so what's the point of the saw? Some re-tooling there might help.

* The countdown of the minerals should be done one-by-one, in my opinion. Just to really juice up the dopamine hit of getting rarer minerals.

* I think you're already well aware of this, but the game does get a bit hard by the end. Couldn't get to the ending, actually I didn't know there even was one.

I'd love to point some things out as well, because this game is packed full of little details that I love:

* The wingman is doing the Four pose, like from that one meme, which I think looks hilarious.

* Love the detail of the shopkeeper saying they're trapped in an itch.io screenshot!

* The Flipnote style cutscenes are endearing!

On the spectra of launcher-type games, from Toss the Turtle to Burrito Bison, Drill Dracula definitely shows its design inspirations. Even still, it manages to be very unique, and the game itself is a wonderful interpretation of the countdown theme. Color me impressed. Or don't color me at all, for I am a vampire.

For this to have 22 ratings is pretty crazy. Should add a 0 at the end. Great job here, team! Congrats on submitting for the jam, and I wish you all the best.

Thank you for the detailed response and kind words :)
I would like to say something about the sawblade. It was at one point made for quicker turns, but we also figured it wasn't useful enough for that. So, we made it so you gain a ton of speed if you hold it down for a bit. We just forgot to update the shopkeeper's description to include that.

Oh yeah, thats the stuff. Its so saitsfying to play. Takes me back to when I would play all those super addicting browser games - this would have been one of my favorites back then. And it is one of my favorites of this jam now! Incredible job!
