I would have probably enjoyed this more if it ran well on my device. A Rust game is certainly something I don't see everyday. Creating that parallax effect must've been quite the effort, so I commend you for that. On the technical side, I'm sure this was a fun game to work on. Stylistically, it's coherent and endearing. Gameplay-wise, it's a little all over the place. I do love the intent behind making the countdown feel like your friend rather than something which you actively go against. That is a small but fantastic subversion of the common premise. Still, the mechanics of running around and dodging fire is so-so. I, as a player, don't feel compelled to place intent behind where I move or what I do, so long as I'm not in the angle of the shooter and its shot. The game, in turn, becomes constant line estimation, geometric finagling, and running around like a headless chicken more than anything else. With all that being said, I truly like this game, and I find it full of wonder all the same. Congrats on submitting for the jam, especially for a game with a more unique codebase and possibly more involved machinations. I wish you the best.
P.S. A town couldn't possibly need that many saloons and jails, right?!
