Very addictive, love the way the upgrade system works. The vfx makes the game feel very satisfying and the final boss was really fun to fight. Great Job!
10 seconds to play is actually BRILLIANT name for a game jam! Animations are smooth, fitting the fast pace. Got a bit lost at the beginning, and 10s runs fast! I had fun :)
Nice particle effects!
Very nice little hack and slash, I really like your choice in music and the little slime sprites! I did encounter that issue you mentioned with the UI but I just kept clicking the right most skill. I also noticed on my second playthrough that there's a glitch where you can keep playing after you die and go and kill the boss without any resistance, which I had a little fun exploiting haha. Other than those two things I had no issues, great job!
Overrall very satisfying and really fun. Good job!
Felt very fun and satisfying to play, wish more monsters appeared as I often found myself dying due to not being able to find any, but still really good. Well done!!
Liked your spin on the countdown constraint, well done ^^
Movements are a bit too light
But I do love the particle effect of killing the slimes
Well done!
Pretty fun, although I feel like the enemies should spawn a little more (or get "vampire" skill which is very overpowered). But I didn't get it at all after my first run. So my strategy became rushing to the boss and lure him down to a spot where plenty of slime suddenly spawn, I also focus on using the 3rd attack since that attack almost killes every slime. Other than that this is a good start for a vampire survivor that could be expanded in the future.
P.S. The skill select ui looks really confusing and I can only pick the right most skill
ya not trying this game in fullscreen was probably my biggest mistake this jam, along with not doing level design iteratively, i did want to flesh out the 3 hit combo some more but i instead pivoted from an arena slasher to the final design shown, what im more impressed with is that none of my mistakes are impacting my ratings significantly. but i'm very excited to take what you've all given me and apply it to the next jam. thank you very much for reviewing.
It's fun and I love the concept of making time as your HP. I just hope that there could be more monsters to generate so that I won't die from failing to find monsters.
Good game, loved the fast pace.
Had a lot of fun playing this, great work !
Super fun game! I tried to escape the boss by finding more slimes but no success, that just made me load up on the time bonus before I reached the boss the next time. Great music during the game, reminded me of the old Nintendo games.
It was a great inspiration from vampire survivor and dynasty warrior and really captures the essence of those two games. I hope to see more from you! You gained a new follower today.
I enjoyed your game; the upgrade system was great, it kept me going for seconds after winning. Would have been nice to see what the powerups did in the game somehow :P
This was fun! I loved how fast the characters movement was as it helped a lot in getting around to different enemies when low on time. I also think you did a good job on the upgrade system, they felt impactful!
The hacking and slashing action felt really really good. It was especially a treat that It didn't always strictly matter if I was getting hit once or twice in a fight, as long as I made up for it. I'm a big fan of life leech builds in games, haha.
Mixing it up, your slew of fun powerups definitely scratched some of that path of exile itch. Though I ended up pretty much always doing extra time.
It didn't feel bad making a mistake and running out of time from a lot of bad hits. What felt really bad, every time it happened, was losing because I just couldn't find where you'd put the enemy spawns. I sprinting around a labyrinth, sticking to each wall, and my only source of frustration was that the adds mobs, a core part of this raid, were missing some extra thought. I'm sure if you made and designed the experience, it felt completely natural where to rush and where to grind time, but I'm sure watching a stream of someone else try to organically discover this might surprise! :)
The accessibility of the game was great. I'm really thankful you took the smart route of one button for a combo chain instead of left click light, right click power kind of thing I see that adds no actual texture to a game while diluting it. This game was totally touting its own strengths. I can't wait to see even more incredible effects.
PS is it cheating if I had to whittle the boss and scurry away frantically searching for time recoveries? I liked that there was always a chance, right until the end, to recover. :)
HACK AND SLASHES, not enough of these this jam. I really like the meme sound in the end when you lose (embarrassed to admit i heard it more than i should) great game overall man
great game, i found the exploring fun, but having to find enemies to sustain me was a nice challenge! music and art was very well done. thankyou for the experience!!
wow i enjoyed this one i found it kinda similar to what i was trying to make
The 3-hit combo felt super satisfying to use, especially with the upgrades; very clever! The sound effect when you lose is hilarious too lol. Great job!
The vineboom sound effect when loosing is diabolical... Fun little project!
